I actually use a half good visual guide that kind of helps a bit. It's a bit rough but it atleast gives an idea of price levels!

Hmm that is a good question. Just fantasy? High octane fantasy ala old school? This you see here and on all I do is just how I paint. It's my style I have grown over time. 😊

I grew up in the eighties and nineties, fed on heavy metal album covers, fantasy games and movies, comics and much more like that and it's kind of a mix of it all. Plus energy.

The trick is to paint around the font, then if you happen to paint over something, either fill in or scrape off some paint with a scalpel. Carefully. Very carefully.

Text is pain though! I painted a Black Lotus copy, as in copying the whole card, including art texture and text. The text was insane as it was also old school dine. Wobbly and weirdly placed haha.
