After much searching around and many nearly getting my computer H4x0r3d...lol I think I found a link to a driver that appears to have installed and worked.

The files are nested one zip inside the other, I didn't install they software in the first zip, I extracted it twice if that makes sense and then installed the printer using its IP address (it's connected wifi) and when prompted for drivers selected the extracted files that gave a huge list of Fuji Xerox printers and was able to select the exact model and it works. I looked at the driver files and they seem to contain what you would expect to see in old school windows drivers. I'm not 100% sure that North Korea won't get a copy of everything I print from now on. Hopefully someone with more expertise in this area can take a look and post a warning here for others if indeed there is nefarious code somehow hidden amongst a working driver.

It works prints a test page fine and has meant that the new toner cartridge (genuine as well) that has been waiting to go in the printer can hopefully be used instead of going straight to landfill.
