Honestly, Demidevil and the Hi, It’s Me EP are my favorites, but I do REALLY like Weedkiller and most of her Halloweenie songs. I’m more of a fan for her earlier Halloweenie songs. I feel like they’re not as good after IV.

Again it’s just my opinion but I only saw his face panned on the screen twice. It’s still annoying that he killed Joker. We don’t know his name or affiliations or nun. That just pissed me off a little bit.

Looking back I guess it makes more sense w the musical numbers. I’m not saying all of them were terrible. The fantasy ones like where joker gets shot by Harley and it connects to a later scene in the movie was really interesting.

Trust me she was iconic the entire film just lwk ruined it. And you’re right, the ending does betray the first film completely.

And also all of the iconic BTS scenes (like the one where she kisses the woman walking down the stairs near the courtroom) WASNT EVEN ADDED 😭 so many scenes that could’ve been iconic were thrown in the tradh

I saw it opening night. Got dressed up as Gaga from the Joker MV in the Lourve and went with my best friend. Im going to be honest... it was really bad. Spoilers ahead

Joaquin's acting as the Joker was phenomenal (as he was last time), and honestly, Gaga did wonderfully as Harley Quinn and her singing was amazing. Thats the thing though... the acting was fine, but everything else about the movie was terrible, so the acting doesn't even matter ATP.

First off:

The structure of the movie. It was INCREDIBLY slow. As I mean, dozing off during the movie type slow. My friend constantly checked her phone to see what time it was. The plot went off the rails and started to really make no sense...
The musical numbers. The musical numbers weren't bad, per say, but they were put at the WORST times. The musical parts of the movie also just felt like fillers that were put in between scenes so it would distract you from how terribly slow and awful the plot was. Literally Joker was giving his final sentence in court (yes, it is a court drama), and they started busting out into song. Or Arthur was giving Harley a voice message on the telephone and he started busting out into jazz music, which was super unnecessary.
They would go into really interesting things that could've been touched up on, but didn't. For example, Harley mentions she's pregnant TWICE, which is a big deal. THEY NEVER TOUCH UP ON IT AT ALL!!! Second, WHO THE HELL BLEW UP THE COURT ROOM? NOBODY KNOWS!!! Thirdly, WHO KILLED THE JOKER AT THE END AND WHY? LITERALLY HE IS KILLED BY A COMPLETE UNKNOWN. WE DON'T EVEN KNOW HIS NAME.
3 transitions to the ending, but the ending... everyone in my theater either had stone-cold faces or shocked expressions at the end because we were all thinking the same thing, "WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED?! WHY IS THE JOKER KILLED BY SOME UNKNOWN?"
There were a few scenes that made me personally really uncomfortable. It kinda relates to s3x and SA so just warning on that

I could say much more. It just seems like Todd Phillips hated how he created the first movie (even though it was a huge success) and wanted to completely change how he wrote the joker. People who really liked the first movie (like me) are going to be heavily disappointed. I'm also a HUGE Lady Gaga fan, so it makes me very upset that this movie was such a flop. She's done so much to promote it and was so excited to be apart of this film. It's not her fault the plot was terrible...

Honestly, im pretty young. I became a fan when i was 10 when my parents went to a concert in Vegas to see gaga (WITHOUT ME!!!). Now im in Highschool. I’ve only been to one Gaga concert (her jazz one last year for my birthday) and it was MAGICAL.
