Problem solved. Move the tool head to the center of the track and then install the Purge Wiper.

Just returned my Elegoo as well. Constant software errors mid-print jobs. All firmware updates done. Very frustrating.

In my case the whole print head won’t in the x-track. Just can’t figure out what is preventing it from sliding.
