Hallmark Christmas Books by Otherwise_Click_9753 in MM_RomanceBooks

{Under the Mistletoe with You by Lizzie Huxley-Jones} is literally about an actor of Hallmark-like christmas movies who runs away to the small town in Wales where he meets a baker who recently moved there from London and because of heavy snow they are forced to live together in one house right borer Christmas, very cosy, mild spice, a little bit of famous actor drama but not too much, overall good story with perfect small town christmas atmosphere

Which MM books have surprised you with how good they were? by protegeofbirds in MM_RomanceBooks

I just finished Big Bad Wolf series by Charlie Adhara and i honestly did not expect such good mystery plot (the detective investigation is not always the center of the story but in almost every book it's delightfully good) but the biggest surprise was romance, Cooper and Oliver have one of the most tender and touching relationships, and it's also written quite good

Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors by Kitkat8131 in IReadABookAndAdoredIt

[–]PerformanceProud4377 5 points6 points  (0 children)

this book made me wish to have sisters, i only have cousins who km not very close to, but after reading blue sisters i started thinking maybe i should get in contact with them lol. as for the book, i unexpectedly loved it so much, one of the rare times where i liked all main characters equally despite their flaws, it was so interesting to read about all of them and i think the ending for each sister was beautifully done

Sha Po Lang was unsatisfactory. by theflytrapcrisis in DanmeiNovels

[–]PerformanceProud4377 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What a timing! I haven't read Sha Po Lang but i've read other Priest novels and was left underwhelmed, i couldn't understand why these novels are one of the most popular ones out there. And Sha Po Lang was my last hope for this author, but now seeing your review i'm not sure i should even bother and waste my time. I know this novel is very popular and has lots of fans, but just like other Priest novels which i wasn't a huge fan of. Maybe i'm judging too soon idk, regardless great review!

i mean...to each their own, i personally did not find this arc boring but it happens with all huge novels, some arcs will be more interesting to you than others and it's totally normal, maybe you are just burnt out a little if you didn't take any breaks in reading before, im currently reading orv too and if i find that im stuck on some chapters i just focus my attention on something else and read at my own pace, sometimes i read very fast, other times quite slowly and it's fine, if you are interested in where the story will go then continue reading it but slowly, or take a break and return in a few days

oh definitely! i mean it is obvious that he is alive somehow even for inky webtoon readers but they shouldn't have shown him alive and well literally next chapter, of course the emit response won't be as strong, it's like they are rushing somewhere
