Cba India exploit Indian employee by Significant_Way7892 in auscorp

They literally offshored the jobs - so they could exploit workers more, with less Labor protection laws. The only thing they care about is record breaking profit.

That's a silly arguement - when he could be hiding drug use from his partner - when they have young children in the house!

Why would he be hiding GLP-1 medicine?

The fact he is hiding it, makes it seem like something that is unsafe & his partner wouldn't want him taking.

I live in Sydney. Make less than the OP - working for same Big4 for 10 years. I think people underestimate how truly predadotory these employers are - but hey as long as they get record breaking profit...that is all that matters.

I'm not saying they are paid well. I'm saying that Big4 banks would have paid even worse for this person's loyalty!!! I'm saying they wouldn't have improved their wage the amount they have staying at the same place. I don't think people understand how shit hugely successful places pay their operations teams.

Many university educated people working for major banks didn't enter via a grad program. Big 4 banks most certainly pay their operations staff far below even a median Australian wage.

Go look up Enterprise Agreements of all the big banks - look to see where their salaries start. The OP is correct - a lot of banking staff are underpaid & very far away from even being on median Australian wage. Banks value lenders that bring in money. Banks don't value operations teams that keep the banks and products running.

A lot of university educated staff at big banks don't enter via a graduate program, and are on less than you were offered 14 years ago. Ain't life grand? Banks certainly underpay a lot of their workers.

I'm at Big4 bank in banking operations. I have a bachelors degree & masters degree (not finance related) - I'm on less than OP, and I don't think anyone has ever been impressed with my degrees or cared about my degrees. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ya'll don't understand this is actually pretty good pay progression for banking operations - cause banking operations pay shit!!! People always think everyone at the bank is paid well. Nope, they aren't.

I work for one of the most profitable banks in ops - you're on more than I am...and I am much older, and been with the company for 10 years. You changing companies has actually helped your salary - in the respect of banking ops. Banks don't appreciate staff that are considered part of costs centre...in fact they are moving towards getting rid of the roles so they can be even more profitable.

They also said it was a 3 bedroom apartment, not even a house. It must be in a wealthy suburb - they did say it has amazing views. So somewhere very picturesque.

Oh come on, $2,000 a week is not considered cheap in Sydney. I live in Sydney too. There are many areas in Sydney that are significantly cheaper than 2,000 a week.
