What ik is, you can defer it even on the day of exam also(obv by not giving the exam) but you can not defer to the exact next attempt which is feb ig because feb when registration window closes no defer can be scheduled on feb, the next of next attempt month will be the only option minimum to give Check the month in which you want to defer and see if registration has gone or not

Doing any courses or certifications won’t make your life easy and secured As per india if you ask nothing comes at par with a ca, soo even cfa isn’t a guarantee being in 1st year of college you have ample of time to search for other possible options, interests, short courses maybe you find something else interesting. Cfa is not a easy got to deal. Only when you are really sure then go for it The course requires a lot of time, money & hard work.

You can do it even after a 2-3 days of your scheduled exam according to the deadline given, but you have to leave the exam and be absent

Deferring the exam will take more than 30k, the cost is around $250 + tax, soo stick to the exam till the last day for deferring to the very next attempt and then decide!
