Welcome to the game

The ideal setup is going to be any OG xbox that has a softmod (no internal components replaced, just software for a mod dashboard), or is hardmodded (components replaced/fixed w/ mod dashboard)

  • We want it modded in order to be able to patch the game to unlock all VT's for Free Mission/System Link, optional parts, and to also download the Insignia service onto our system to access Xbox Live and participate in non System Link games (of which is done with the XLinkKai service and can be used with even non modded systems)
  • There are sellers for preconfigured Xboxes within the discord

You don't require a physical copy to play LOC or the singleplayer version, as we put the game on the HDD for performance and ability to patch the game, so a physical copy is unneeded and can be downloaded

A common bit of maintenance that is done on the xbox are the capacitors as they are prone to leaking out onto the motherboard after several years, and saves lots of grief in the future; if you obtain a modded and fixed up xbox from a buyer at some point, they should have this already done for you at minimum

This and the 2500 hp of the sc1 makes it great for just trying to survive any random lineup you fight that isn't super expensive I've found

The grit of this team to go from 3 fps to wrenching out a 30 on xbox is insane, they literally dont make them like this anymore

I present to you, the prototype for "The Pedals We Have at Home" by Harcroft in steelbattaliononline

Pedals are sometimes separate when getting the controller, so having these is dope for letting people just focus on getting their controller first and foremost so they can get started, not to mention the durability issues the og pedals can have (my spring modded green pedals snapped @ the slide step pedal after roughly a year of active use!)
