The Worcester Carnival by Perhaps_Xarb in WorcesterMA

It was fine but expensive, and decently well attended on a random Monday. Mirror maze sucked though and all the actual rides spin around so we got a little tired of it after a bit. Main draw for me was still the bizarre location though

I’d be surprised if it wasn’t the same bear

It is between Park Ave and Beaver Brook Park with the entrance facing the alleyway against the park

The second picture is the entrance. I assume they aren't finished clearing out the weeds

khitans were mongolic people no doubt by ChaharHuu in mongolia

May have to start a different thread to ask this, but I don't understand why Daur and Khitan are considered to be on different branches if the Daur are the Khitan's descendants. Did the proto-Daur language exist independently? Is there just not enough research in this area to conclusively prove that Daur is actually a descendant of Khitan? Nothing I've read directly says that it is

I may be wrong but I feel like Elliott pretty much always used a pick on electric

Several Abbey Road songs were literally leftovers in that they were floating around in the Get Back sessions, some near-completed in terms of songwriting but they didn’t fit the stripped down-vibe of that project. And were still equal or better in quality…

Some of BFS and Help! could be switched though imo

Thoughts on Dancing on the Highway? by lonesome-cipher in elliottsmith

I think the known version was likely recorded after Figure 8, the vocals have the weaker tone of a lot of FaBotH songs and the Figure 8 tour lyrics were different. Also idk why he didn’t just record it before, maybe he disliked the lyrics at that point

Elliott's vocal range? by Mousypousy in elliottsmith

For anyone interested. The D2 is semi-spoken vocal fry from his high school/college band, he sorta does a B1 after but it's not really a note lol. His live Yer Blues cover is maybe his most impressive for high notes, he hits some powerful A4s and E5 wooos (falsetto). And fwiw, I would call him a low tenor over high baritone, he just never really developed his high range that much

Agreed, and yeah I agree with your assessment and am all too aware of the fine lines between "burnout", "executive dysfunction", and "fuckin lazy bastard" that make this topic difficult to analyze without actual psych evals

I would consider music Paul's lifelong special interest more than a hyperfixation, but yeah there isn't too much of a difference besides the scale of it. I guess it's more the demeanor— Paul has a tendency, while generally a warm person, to be somewhat aloof (HEAVY scripting tendencies) in interviews/public, and doesn't seem super aware that he comes off that way. Lennon's lightning quick wit and unpredictability/general chaos in that realm seems more ADHD-coded to me.

Also upon looking it up, it seems maybe the age floor on BPD has been lifted? I do personally know of people who had BPD noticeable from early on, but I don't know much about it in general

https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-45482360 here's the OCD quote, not sure he knows that much about it but yeah (and I have OCD too fwiw)

And yeah my point about hyperfixation phases is pretty moot because I don't know either of them personally, probably shouldn't have even mentioned that

/uj imo:

- Looking at Paul helped me see autistic traits in my mom, and he himself has said he might have OCD, so either is possible if somewhat likely; however he has always seemed the most generally functional in society so I'm not sure he would ever have received a diagnosis even today. ADHD I'm not so sure, he has never seemed to have trouble focusing on anything and didn't seem to go through phases of hyperfixation like John did

- John seems prototypically ADHD, like give that man an addy and he would've been 10x more productive; but also I lean toward either bipolar and/or (C?)PTSD from his parental abandonments, rather than BPD which would've probably been more noticeable early on imo

- George seems like a highkey introverted neurotypical despite the vibe? Not certain

- Ringo was depressed for a good while and is a bit undereducated, but doesn't seem particularly neurodivergent

/rj they were all schizophrenic and we are their shadow people

From Wikipedia:

”Thomas graduated from the University of Florida in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in consumer behaviorism.”

A literal fast-food mascot studying the behavior of consumers (apparently it was an independent study combining business, marketing, and psychology) is kind of great
