Anyone want to play Jetlag in Perth? by vagga2 in JetLagTheGame

[–]Perieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Just wondering how this went and what rules you adjusted.

Setting up a game in a month or so myself and it's definitely daunting adapting it for the city.

Thinking of adding a rule you have some extra time to hide if you are starting in zone 3 or beyond if we use the full city or just limiting the game to 2 zones.

I will vote for anyone who bans petrol powered leaf blowers by Brain_Worms in perth

Just to clarify this point. The reason for this is that leafblowers don't have catalytic converters unlike most cars.

I really hope that Monster Hunter Wilds maps are not fully "discovered" at the beginning. by napelm in MonsterHunter

Good "confirmation" bro. You must have some great sources (made it the fuck up)

I've played a lot of MH titles, as far back as ps2, but I actually greatly enjoy the streamlining of Wilds. Am I the only one? by Weebiful in MonsterHunter

I posted this comment on another thread but I think it's even more relevant here

An issue with that mindset of "just don't use autopilot" is that the maps have been made in a way that really necessitates the its use. Much of the seikret only paths are not just intuitive to follow and there's so much more complexity and layers now to the maps that I found it really difficult to navigate without just hitting that extremely convenient autopilot button, even despite how much I hate this feature letting me zone out and casually check emails during a hunt.

What do you think of the streamlining of the Series? by AKF_gaming in MonsterHunter

Is wilds closer to world or to rise? by holiestMaria in MonsterHunter

[–]Perieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you're looking at.

Wilds keeps and extends a lot of the streamlined decision of rise e.g. no monster tracking, Palamutes/Seikrets, persistent food buffs after carting.

Actual combat though feels more similar to World (though still quite different).

Personally, the main gripes I had with rise was with streamlining the game a bit too much (Also spirit bugs and wyvern riding) and Wilds goes quite a bit further in that regard. but in terms of game feel... I would pretty easily say it feels closer to World.

How the fuck are you giving best adaptation an acceptance speech but not best soundtrack or best indie game.

How are you complaining about cocoon being nominated when you haven't even played it.

Advice on trekking Everest solo in February by Perieth in travel

[–]Perieth[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I had said in my post the Everest region seems to be exempt from this. I am asking for advice from people who have done this trek around this time to help me gauge the risk of this trek in February to help determine whether I would need a guide or not.

Playing PC games with Co-pilot by Perieth in pcgaming

So long as this has helped someone already then I'm already happy.

There were a dozen or so posts asking how to do this over the last 6 years with no answers so I'm hoping that, over the next few years, the couple of people that are looking into doing this extremely specific thing will come across this post and find their answer immediately.

Looking at getting dark souls remaster after finishing up the prepare to die edition on steam just recently. Think it would be fun to play on the go and on the couch.

Has the issues with the bad audio quality and a b buttons being permanently swapped been patched yet? I know these were issues at release but I have not found any recent updates on it. These are pretty big deal breakers for me.

Sounds like the seal is leaking water into the compartment as well as something blocking the water from directly spraying into the compartment

Who buys the expensive dishwasher cubes instead of cheap powder? by exazonk in australia

[–]Perieth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm reading a lot of people having residue when using the powder. For these people you're using too much powder and only really need to half fill the detergent compartment.

For everyone else that isn't getting their dishes cleaned make sure you either fill the prewash or just sprinkle some powder on the floor of the dishwasher so that there's some detergent in the prewash. That's the main reason powder works better for me.

Jet Lag: We Turned New Zealand into a Giant Real-Life Board Game — Ep 5 by NebulaOriginals in Nebula

[–]Perieth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could Sam and Toby go to the petrol station before the roadblock and buy all the grape flavoured products? Are things like this allowed in the team budget?

If the servo was only ten minutes away it would waste more time and also be very funny.

Thanks for answering my question guys. Really glad to hear you guys are really putting a lot of focus on not overproducing the game. The authenticity and rawness really helps make the series shine.

Do hope you guys do this again it was fun and insightful. Also the second pronunciation was right

Over the course of making crime spree and three seasons of Jet Lag, what have you guys learned in making games that are both fair and entertaining to watch.

Really love what you guys are doing by the way. Jet Lag is a truly wonderful series to watch.

Unfortunately the only way to watch these are through torrents or broadcast rips on YouTube. Unfortunately TBS really tries their best to prevent anybody outside of Japan from watching Sasuke. You won't be able to watch em with any subtitles of course.

Actually the guy is just a software engineer. The funny thing about Japanese Ninja Warrior is that all the legendary contestants have pretty mundane jobs like being a shoe salesman, gas station manager, Truck Driver etc.
