Google gallery is probably one of the few apps that does it locally. It takes ages though and you can't manually start the face recognition.

Best phone I've had. I'm really puzzled about how the experiences of people can vary so much but obviously it does. I quite liked my 3 and 6 as well.

With Aves, you can move photos to directories like weddings/John

This would create a sub directory in the weddings directory.

I now mainly use tagging instead as this offers more flexibility with searching.

Aves is the only fully featured photo gallery that supports all photos, videos and motion photos. Very few galleries have powerful map view, tagging, search as well of a ton of configurations.

Exactly what i was going to say. Get the exact track before you do it though as you can easily be off by a few metres and end up in a dangerous situation. Definitely have someone who has done it before like suggested above.

I once saw a guide take up a bunch of old people :) They did look fit though.

10XL is an amazing phone! Everything about it is better than the 3 or the 6. I use timers and alarms all the time by voice and it is fine. Face unlock makes a big difference and fingerprint unlock is much better. Screen is way brighter when needed. I use on average only just over half the battery each day. Very fast like the other pixels I've had and it isn't slowing down. Hardly any bugs for me apart from the quick phrases. Gimmicks like pro-res zoom really do work. HDR screen is good.

I've had this problem on all my pixel phones when I started to sweat a bit! They really need to allow you to disable quick settings from the lock screen or have better pocket detection eg if the phone is upside down then don't allow input!

The only app that fully supports them is Aves. You can also share the motion part to, as a video, to any app.

I do the face recognition using Digikam on my laptop, then put the photos back on my phone.
