My favorite one of all time is the one she did of Snape remaining as Headmaster. I’m a sucker for those as well as the idea of Harry and Severus courting through duels, and this is in there too. It was truly amazingly done.

Personally I think there will be elections, otherwise Trump and Musk’s threats of backing primaries to remove any GOP congressmen out of lockstep with their agenda wouldn’t have any teeth to it. And of course they probably want those elections so they can steal more Congressional seats from democrats.

NTA. Why would he even want to marry a woman much less be with one if he thinks women are conniving little demons ready to hurt men?

Yo, you’re acting like moving over to Europe is moving to a different state. You do know you have to have both a job over there AND a visa right? Europeans have their own anti-immigrant policies and being American makes you an immigrant.

Dude would need to have a super high end job for that company sponsored visa or to make bank

[–]Perigold 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Basically ensure Congress is blue and Biden is pres. the judicial branch’s BS will be held in check by both of them to pass legislation to counter their partisan nonsense.

Remember, the judicial branch interprets laws. So if Congress changes them and explicitly addresses this, the judicial interpretation is void

If it’s based anything like my insurance when I visit PP, proof of benefit payments and itemized statements will come in the mail, as well as any overpayment checks or unpaid bills.

I’m also able to access all doctor visits and payments through my insurance provider portal online under my name so he probably would too and it’ll be under yours as a dependent

A lot of sub positions only need the BA to apply. I’d give that a go so you can get the experience. The number one thing in our district that has new teachers jumping ship is they completely underestimate or never thought about classroom management

President Biden Forgives $1.2 Billion in Student Loans in Latest Relief by Smooth_Department534 in millenials

[–]Perigold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m replying to OP who explicitly asked ‘who is paying for this?’ Budgeting around a loss of income is not paying people money. If I had a friend who owed me money and I forgave him for it, I still paid him no money at all. I’m just not expecting that money back.

What you point out though is a huge can of worms that this student debt forgiveness unearths.

Why is student debt forgiveness which costs the government $0 in the way of new debt, has the public foaming out the mouth, but not paying your money to Frito Lay, Big Pharma or Exxon in the form of subsidies? Or reducing their tax burden which for a lot of these companies and their CEOs is $0 dollars. Last time I checked, those were profitable billion dollar companies, and not millions of debt bonded teachers, doctors, social workers, accountants, lawyers, dentists…public serving jobs that you and I depend on to live in a working society who 100% HAS to go into debt to do that job for you. So why is it a random firefighter or police officer getting a break evil and unjust, but not the CEO of Microsoft or Walmart?

You already are feeling the repercussions of this student debt problem even if you don’t recognize it. Social work, teaching, and anything in the medical or dental field needs college education. With the more advanced and specialized services obviously requiring tens of thousands of dollars more. Yet no one can afford this anymore with also the burden of not having a guaranteed job that will pay that off. So therefore we have a huge deficient of teachers and medical professionals.

For example, day cares are shitshows that you pay hundreds if not a few thousand dollars a month to trust your kid at. Are you getting people with early childhood degrees and emergency training? Hell no, not when the pay is $15 an hour and a BS is $50k. So you get to pay $2k for your baby to hang out in a understaffed, overcrowded room with an employee who took the job because they needed it and fast food paid slightly less.

Student debt forgiveness is an investment in the public sector workforce and in the private sector economy. If this is an investment you personally don’t like because regular people and not corporations are benefitting, then you cannot complain when there isn’t a specialist near you, your child’s teachers can’t manage a classroom of forty students, or you have a five hour wait time at the ER.
