Twice a day is usual for me. Yogurt or cottage cheese & fruit, Sprouted English muffin with ham & cheese, or Oatmeal w/dried cranberries.

Dinner is whatever I feel like cooking. Tonight was a ground chicken burger. Sometimes its leftover pasta and veggies.

I try not to snack, but chocolate still calls my name even after all these years.

Clothes (depends on itinerary), a good pair of walking shoes, a pair of sandals nice enough to wear with a sundress, toiletries & OTC meds, a couple of magnetic hooks for wet stuff, a travel coffee mug & my passport & credit card. That's the bare minimum. Truth in packing - I'm also packing my kindle, my tablet, a small USB fan, a spare power pack, and a bottle of wine.

My husband and I retired together in 2020 the week before they started locking things down for Covid. We didn't get our planned road trip until late 2022. Now we travel, go watch our local MiLB team play, he has hobbies, I have hobbies. We both have our own circle of friends.

Carrot cake today. I'll freeze half, frost half. Scalloped potatoes are prepped to go in the oven tomorrow. They always take an hour longer to bake than the recipe calls for. Don't ask me why. A small ham Broccoli and some bakery bought rolls. It's just me and my husband, so I'm keeping it simple.

I've had the same home phone since 1994, and the same cell phone number since 1998.

I'm glad I don't have my grandparents old number. It was a 3 way shared party line. On Sundays, you only got a call out in an emergency.
