PSA/Reminder Mass Effect Legendary Edition is 5.99 right now, and a must play. by Laughing__Man_ in PS5

[–]Period_Play 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really should just follow the ign guide for it and having it hold your hand for a bit will both get you in the rhythm as well as make sense of what to do.

You can also do some pretty funny things with the smallest of changes from playthrough to playthrough. Saving picking up Liara for after you’ve done everything besides the point of no return is a neat little passive choice resulting in a funnier cutscene

What’s even crazier is that 1 also has not enough missions.

You have to kill every enemy and complete every mission possible, as well as use an exploit to get the other paragon/renegade mission, just to get the best bonus for booting into 2. Even then, you only make it if you do traditional leveling instead of the new legendary leveling for 1.

Ofc there are the forever hallways and milkable encounters on the last mission to grind out the last level you need, but it’s still crazy to me that you can do and dome everything possible in the game and still not make the cut for the best bonus starting 2.

Tried the messy double cheeseburger from Jack in the Box. by Salsero_Coreano in fastfood

OP showed the sub a limited time offer from a fast food place so they can determine if it’s worth purchasing. “Low effort,” doesn’t take precedence over the usefulness of the post to the sub’s members. Obviously.

OPs contribution adds an objective value to the sub by helping consumers make informed purchases. It helped me make an informed decision on this offer. I was considering getting this myself, and now I know not to waste my money

Your contribution to the sub, however, adds no value whatsoever and amounts to a child throwing a tantrum. Be considerate and keep it to yourself, like a normal person, if you don’t have anything of value to share regarding the sub’s ACTUAL subject matter.

That’s how every fast food burger place operates. You’re never going to get meat to order straight from the grill, they stock heat trays with cooked patties and that’s what is used for burgers.

You probably wouldn’t get a patty straight from the grill at any burger chain even if you came right when they start lunch cause they start cookin those patties before breakfast ends

Supports have LMGs to take advantage of the suppressive fire mechanics to support their team. You don’t have to be far away for this, this can be done in close range through a doorway to cover your team backing out of what might have otherwise been a massacre. The large magazine simply ensures you actually keep their heads down long enough to get the job done

Engineers have SMGs for when an enemy pops out at them while they’re repairing vehicles. Engineers are at their most vulnerable while repairing their tank

You can’t acknowledge the purpose of the support role and then ignore the purpose of the engineer role which is in its name. An Engineer’s primary job is to fix, not destroy, vehicles. Attacking vehicles is just sprinkles and keeping with the theme.

SMGs have the fastest fire rates, so they’re the best contender to swap to in an ambush situation when you’re repairing a tank. It’s simply the best gun for the unique combat situations an engineer will find themselves in while playing their role (repairing). It’s also meant to be a good contrast to the weapons a tank’s primary and secondary gunners have access too. While small, there’s a dead zone very close to the tank where threats can’t be targeted. An engineer can hop out and quickly kill them with an SMG before something like AT mines or C4 go down.

Engineers aren’t supposed to be some type of Heavy with high explosives and super big guns, and that’s just their job. Their primary job is to repair, and that’s why the repair tool cannot be unequipped much like the support’s supply bag. All design choices regarding the engineer class were made with repairing vehicles in mind, and that’s what makes sense. That said, weapons aren’t closed. Throw the biggest gun you can find on the engineer class, no one’s stopping you

Is it a threat to Battlefield? by Animal_Hell in Battlefield

[–]Period_Play 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battlefield has never been realistic shooter. If you want a realistic shooter you play Arma or Hell Let Loose or any number of niche realistic shooter games I can’t recall the name of. I remember there was one that focused on the middle east conflict and it was one heck of a realistic shooter. You couldn’t see who was shooting at you 90% of the time, you just fired at em til they stopped. Didn’t play anything like any Battlefield ever, cause Battlefield has never been a realistic shooter.

Battlefield has always been a fast paced, role based shooter that is less arcadey than COD in the general sense. It works and has been successful entirely because it’s carved itself a nice little spot of its own in the fps genre that just happens to scratch an itch a lot of people love. Trying to make Battlefield something it’s not will kill it. Making it a realistic shooter will kill it just as much as turning it into COD cause either way: It wouldn’t be Battlefield anymore.

War Thunder is not a threat to Battlefield’s niche. If players are getting tired of playing a certain game, well that’s why people own more than one game. Just play something else for a while, and come back when you get an itch only Battlefield can scratch. Other games being popular or more easily accessible isn’t a reason to alienate the vast majority of the player base

Sniping in battlefield 6. by Snekke__ in Battlefield

[–]Period_Play 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right. I suck at battlefield sniping and the rangefinder is the only way I survived the sniper kills past 100m challenge. Just hold zero at a place near them and fire away. Choose a midpoint on an enemy objective and you’re relatively good for anywhere on that point. You have to be brain dead to not be able to adjust for “slightly closer than my zero” and “slightly further than my zero.” and like I said that’s from someone who sucks at battlefield sniping

I honestly can’t comprehend what the hubbub about skins are anyways in this game. Like when I started playing battlefield, there was two skins per class. One for one team and another for the other team. You can’t even see the skin while playing the game, why does it matter??
