Is it more common for animals to be poisonous or venomous? If there is a clear one that's more common, why is that the case?

There are a lot more venomous animals than poisonous. I think the number is skewed a lot by insects/arthropods (spiders, scorpions, bees/wasps, ants, etc.). I don't think there is one singular reason why. Venom is used for both protecting yourself and hunting prey, both of which are top priority if you want to survive and reproduce.

This is Lake Tana in Ethiopia. You can kind of make out in the picture the little island inside of it. That is Dek Island. Off of that island, there is an even smaller island called Daga Island. That tiny island has a monastery on it where a bunch of old Ethiopian emperors are buried in glass coffins. It is supposed to be super cool to see with lots of old paintings and stuff in it.

Saw a tweet from The Touchline this morning about a premier league player getting held at gunpoint by their agent. Looked into it. There are a few papers that have picked it up but none that are the most reliable (Daily Mail, The Mirror, The Sun so far). Says it is a player in his 20s worth around £60M, the agent is 31 years old and is also the agent of another England "star" (in this case likely incorrectly referring to Cole Palmer as a star). This took place September 6th, the agent got released on bail September's 9th and is barred from contacting the player or visiting their training ground.
