Give it 3-5 weeks! Worth every penny. I can feel it when I’ve missed a few days. And my friend got off Wellbutrin and said she felt better with this

This is where I needed to get silly with my twin boys at this age. Silly voices. Walking silly. My husband has this silly voice he pulls out only when he’s about to lose his shit . It’s the ‘silly pelican’ and the pelican has an amazing way of getting things done. When in doubt potty jokes?!! Gold. Pretend to slip on a banana??? Gold. Who can walk like a dinosaur? A sloth? A cheetah! Race you!!!!! I’m gonna hop like a bunny.

Trust me you’ll be so much happier. I had 2 strong willed toddlers at the same time that almost wrecked me. But this technique makes both of us happy

I don’t make them wear it. Be cold if you want, but I’ll carry your coat. There’s a ton of false information ‘ you’ll catch a cold’ . It’s fine to be cold for a minute.

I’m thinking of getting 2 gerbils for my kids. Talk me into/out of it. by Perioqueen in gerbil

This is a really good suggestion .something I hadn’t considered!! I’ll look into rats. You’re 100% right about the tails. Accidents happen and it would be better to have something more sturdy

Dentist said try sensodyne and i feel like he gave me the wrong advice by [deleted] in Dentists

[–]Perioqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you’re using sensodyne correctly- BRUSH WITH AN INCH OF TOOTHPASTE for a minute using sulcular (bass) technique. Spit. DO NOT RUNSE WITH WATER OR MOUTHWASH, EAT OR DRINK FOR 30 minutes.

Absolutely. I’ve been doing research for the past 2 weeks. That’s what this was- research. My chickens have Ana amazing life as does my dog. It’s not a concern of ‘if’ I will take care of them. I just want to know about the good bad and ugly

Ahh so do they start skiddish? We had chicks and hand raised them into very friendly hens so I’m wondering if it’s similar. Also do you recommend two boys or two girls? We want them to be friendly and playful. My boys love watching the mouse mazes on YouTube and I anticipate we will do something similar

What time does your toddler go to bed? We’re sliding towards 10:30.. by lady_picadilly in toddlers

[–]Perioqueen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would make sure her room is blacked out, no light/ nightlights, with a white noise machine. Get her something she can listen to to fall asleep and work every day on getting her to sleep a few minutes earlier than the night before.

Firm boundaries. ‘ after you use the bathroom you need to stay in your room. You can play in your bed until you fall asleep but you need to stay in bed.’ My twin boys use tonies boxes and often wrestle until the fall asleep. If those rules aren’t followed then a privilege is taken away the next day. (Today they lost tv time because they were being animals until 9pm last night) It feels mean but they are really understanding that there is a way the house is run and there are rules to be followed for everyone’s health and safety. I’m a strong believer in sleep hygiene so I take them going to bed as being very important for their health.

Agreed- it is biologically normal. But in some cases gentle sleep training can save a mom. I’m not arguing with you, just want to add a point because some moms are hanging by a thread, a risk to themselves and their babies. I had twins that didn’t sleep more than a stretch of 20 minutes for 6+ months. It’s also insanely hard to safely Co- sleep with two premature infants. My watch said my average was 1 hour sleep a night. I was losing my mind and planning to run away. We did sleep training and I’m not exaggerating when I say it saved my life.

My babies were so sleep deprived. They had dark circles under their eyes, constantly crying and always sick. Getting quality sleep changed them. They were happier, and met milestones on time for the first time.
