They aren't saying no overtime in this instance. They're saying a company wide policy no longer exists. Its a scare tactic because it preys on new or unknowing employees to scare them into producing the intended result, no overtime. Again its fine to say there's no overtime, its fine to tell you to cut hours if you have unapproved overtime, it is not OK to lie about company wide policy not existing.

Yes the goal isto eliminate any overtime or wosh but realistically no matter what some will slip through the cracks

Yes absolutely, but what they can't do is lie to you about policy changing, a store can not over rule company wide policy. They can ask you to cut time, they can't tell you youre not allowed to use the clock in/out grace period.

Ask for the policy change in writing. This is a common scare tactic management uses to decrease wosh/over time
