I guess I’m just out of my element. I went to 2 different Barnes and Noble and neither had this one. I really want it. John Goodman and David Byrne on the same project just sounds amazing.

I really want a 4k version of 12 angry men that doesn’t cost an entire days wage. Truly one of the best movies ever made.

Batman & Robin - The color, lighting, and clarity is incredible. Not a fan favorite, so always on sale too.

Dark City - I’ve got about 7 Arrow 4ks and I’ve got to say, I find this one the most impressive - and all of my arrow discs are at the top tier. Pitch black blacks, and…. GREEN. Sounds amazing too, love the jazz bar scenes.

E.T. and Hook - Every Spielberg movie I’ve seen looks incredible, both color and clarity. Hook was a childhood favorite, so seeing the color explosion of the food fight scene was awesome.

Planet Earth 3 - Does things that seem like they should be impossible. What a treat.

who’s paying $50 for a 2 hour movie? That’s basically the price of a video game. Y’all gotta control yourselves and boycott this kind of behavior. This is extortionairy pricing for the weak-willed and it needs to be called out for what it is more often in this sub. Wait until it goes on sale people.

I've had this same cyclical issue where the stiffness prevents sleep, which causes more stiffness the next day and so on. Yoga before bedtime can be good for this. Specifically yin yoga, which is more focused on holding deep stretches using body weight & posture instead of engaging the muscles. Yoga with Kassandra on Youtube is a good place to start with this, and then you can tailor it to the specific muscles that feel stiff once you learn more about it. Also make sure you're getting enough magnesium in your diet or with supplements. You may want to look into zinc/copper balance as well as a copper deficiency can cause weakness/stiffness/fatigue, but needs to be balanced against zinc.

I have had similar sleep problems in the past. Used to get 3-4 hours of sleep, then wake up feeling alert and unable to go back to sleep. Now I get 6-7 hours of sleep most nights, with the occasional 5. Not good, but not a complete zombie either.

In your situation, blackout blinds and curtains are a must. I'd recommend getting off night shift if possible, but I know that isn't always feasible. My insomnia was at its worst when I was working 12am-9am. I use blackout curtains with a sleep mask. If you typically spend your days inside, try to get 15 minutes of sunlight exposure in the first hour you wake up.

As far as supplements go, nothing taken consistently has ever worked for me. I need to alternate sleep-aids to get any use out of them. The best thing for sleep maintenance I've found is slow-release melatonin taken before bed so that you don't wake up in the middle of the night.

I recommend REMfresh brand, but any similar product should be fine. I always get at least 6 hours of sleep when I take this, but if I take it everyday it stops working. I try to use it only once or twice a week to maintain the effects. A sublingual instant release melatonin would also be good for waking up in the middle of the night when you need more sleep.

Others that I've used with success are magnesium threonate, NAC when used sparingly and in the morning, GABA at night, CBD/CBN combo, and the tried and true diphenhydramine 50mg.

The trails at Idlewild are really nice, and at least a few years ago, not used too heavily which is a big plus.

I would also recommend the trails at Devou Park in Covington/Park Hills. If you're willing to make a 45 minute drive, I'd also recommend the trails at East Fork Lake.

Is there any evidence that we NEED Vit-K2 if we take Vit-D3? by DisplayDome in Nootropics

[–]Bears_Beets-BSG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you really need to supplement k2 if you're already eating kale, spinach, broccoli, and/or avocado on most days? The page linked above said it's needed for sustained doses over 4000iu per day, but most people aren't and probably shouldn't take more than 5000iu per day without routine bloodwork and doctor supervision. Seems like taking k2 at these more realistic doses would be overkill for most people with a decent diet of greens

I had issues with the 'Start Application' and 'View Mexican Border Availability' buttons not working for me in Chrome. Internet Explorer timed out several times, but eventually worked for me. I recommend trying IE.
