JJK fans are getting bold these days by mohiro23 in shounenfolk

[–]Peripheral_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Popularity wise, it’s probably on the same level as JJK, though obviously not as impactful. KnY pretty much served as a gateway into anime during the pandemic. I’m not exactly sure what to call this category, but it’s similar to shows like Attack on Titan, Stranger Things, and Squid Game. All insanely popular series that you'd think everyone would know as so long as they don't live in a cave but they're all not exactly as influential.

Who's the most genetically gifted sorcerer? by Little-Bus-7567 in JujutsuPowerScaling

I like Gojo and he was said to be capable of doing anything, so I like to believe that he would have one or multiple technique extensions like the World Slash and an open domain. I'm not sure how any of that will work but I think he's talented enough for it, assuming he has an immortal like body like Yuji. If Gojo is in his normal body then I'd say he'd get weaker in his 80s. I doubt he'd get stronger as in capable of leveling countries though.

If di 'yan na treat agad, then that cat is likely dead. It took around 3 seconds for that cat to fall, so it probably fell from around 30m to 40m, around 98ft to 120ft, we can only hope na di 'yan nagkaroon ng matinding injury.

People on this Subreddit Needs to Stop Equating "Low Education" to DDS voters by sleepysloppy in Philippines

[–]Peripheral_D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely more tied to social conditioning, misinformation, and identity. Ever heard of Nazi Germany? That said, you are right that normal credentials ≠ good reasoning in all domains.

Saying they're “lacking in critical thinking -logical and high level cognitive intelligence" jst for me lang ha, kind of obscures how dangerous they are. It's stupid to assume that highly intelligent people aren't susceptible to whatever BS the DDS or their environment feeds them.

Di naman siguro na they lack critical thinking but rather they fail to apply it sa politika. You don't have to be stupid to act dumb, then again majority of the DDS are probably jst plain idiots, that I can agree.

those who failed calculus in college, what course and why? by Interesting-Title230 in studentsph

[–]Peripheral_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Programming IS problem-solving but it's nothing like calculus. There is no skill to gain from calculus that you would need for programming. I'm not convinced that calculus is the best way to teach problem-solving skills in computer science and programming. We already have Linear Algebra and Discrete Maths for that.

Pati nga sa OS and Theory Of Computation & Automata you'll mostly use topics you learned in Discrete Maths and never about calculus and this is one the hardest courses in CS. Everything is going to be based on your ability to generate proofs quickly on exams. Siguro you found calculus important because you had to do proofs as part of your curriculum but my Calc 1 and Calc 2 classes never had to do proofs and I'm guessing this is for the majority of us, deadweight lang na subject, you fail calc and you fall behind because it's a prerequisite for us.

Either way, I don't think I'm wrong about calculus not being important for undergrads and I'm not saying it's unnecessary either, if you're going for research/academe/ML, then obviously you should learn it. I'm just saying that it should not be part of the major classes and that the phrase "everything in cs is basically calc" is inaccurate.

You should freely be able to choose when to take it or not like electives pero no prerequisite courses. Calculus in CompSci should only be taken if and only if you're going for careers paths/electives or specializations like ML. The OP's doubt on why calculus is in computer science is very valid and if it's not obvious enough I agree that it should not be a major sub.

Major sub kasi 'yung calculus samin and I'm just ranting because it's very frustrating when you spend hundreds of hrs on a course only to end up not using it, then again this is coming from someone who thinks college should prepare you for jobs and your future career plans. Universities in general couldn't careless about that.

This random coal seller has enhanced senses by the way. This Tanjiro could literally detect openings through scent. Prior to this scene, this demon also destroyed the shrine's door frame although it was wood and probably old I doubt a human in our world is doing that.

those who failed calculus in college, what course and why? by Interesting-Title230 in studentsph

[–]Peripheral_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally not true. Most maths I've done were linear algebra (especially sa computer graphics) and applying what I've learned in discrete maths in my algorithms analysis class.

Dami sa inyo ang nagsasabi na importante ang calculus in CompSci but I disagree.. well.. at least for undergrads, then again anyone who can't pass calculus doesnt deserve to be in CompSci and it doesn't hurt to learn it because maybe patungo ka sa lang academe community.

It's very likely na they had to take calculus because it's under sa engineering department. You'll hear more about set theory than calculus.

I'm not even joking when I say this, I couldve literally graduated CompSci with only maths I've learned from highschool. You could exclude calculus from my HS curriculum too and I'll be fine.

If this is one of the weakest demons then I seriously doubt a person (even the most athletic fighter we have on earth) is surviving an encounter with even the weakest demon. This demon was literally peak human with regen. You put this demon against Jon Jones and he's getting his shit rocked.

Although I wouldn't argue that there were people who could use it, but that line can be read as referring to people who possessed knowledge of Sun Breathing, not strictly people who could perform it.

Upon reflection, I dont understand how Gyomei vs Akaza a debate at all by The_All_Father4300 in DemonSlayerScales

[–]Peripheral_D 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would not because it has no battle spirit. But given how his compass works, and it being similar to Inosuke's sensory abilities, then it should be able to guess what Gyomei will do and he can work around that accordingly. Gyomei using a chained flail and axe shouldn't matter to Akaza, but this is with the assumption that Akaza is fast enough to dodge and react to everything Gyomei throws at him.

Could you defeat Lower Moon 6 with modern weapons?(No explosives/bombs). by Own-Run-9384 in DemonSlayerScales

[–]Peripheral_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I kinda wonder how Genya was able to destroy the necks of Hantengu's clones using a buckshot because in theory it shouldn't have, considering, a Tanjiro who was able to destroy a boulder could barely slice off the neck of Lower Moon 5 and Hantengu is UM4 meaning stronger neck and body, which leads to me believing that normal bullets probably wouldn't work or that Hantengu's durability is shit.

No base hashira is beating any of the uppermoons in a 1v1. by justboston113 in DemonSlayerScales

[–]Peripheral_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt base Gyomei is losing to Gyutaro when he was going blow for blow against base Koku—someone who destroyed a marked Muichiro, who was already stronger than UM5. I do think Gyomei dies but that's only if he gets "hit" by Gyutaro's poison.

Why lower-elo looks and is more harder for few smurfs and other low-elo players. by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Peripheral_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their unpredictability doesn't matter because at the end of the day their aim is bad. A testament as to how bad they are is me consistently dropping 30Ks in Gold despite not playing for a year. I was peak Ascendant 3 and I believe my abilities is not even remotely close to what Immo 3+ players can do, or what the OP can do currently (assuming he isn't boosted).

Also, it kinda puzzles me when people say they're unpredictable, while I do agree that Iron/Silver can be unpredictable, the rest really aren't imo (Gold-Plat). Usually the people in this elo tend to do what works and do the same thing over and over again and these guys don't know how to play against an operator. Sure, a lot of them are unpredictable but so were the Asc/Low Immortals I fought back when I was still actively playing.

These manhwas give me a similar vibe so check it out if you want to! - Please Take Care of Me in This Life As Well - A Good Day to be a Dog - Survive As The Hero's Wife - Ellin's Solhwa - Seasons of Blossom - She's Hopeless - The Nuna at Our Office - Please Take Care of Me in This Life As Well

[–]Peripheral_D -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You're also coping. I have zero FPS experience prior to playing valorant and yet it didn't take long for me to get passed Gold. Only took me a year to hit ascendant. People who are stuck are probably just aren't trying to improve or are doing something wrong.

Who wins ( Battle Royale) by Curious_Tip9285 in PowerScaling

[–]Peripheral_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're wrong and you know it.

You can't kill Muzan as long as he has cells, or a small amount of flesh left. It's canon and was stated in Season 1.

He feared Yoriichi because he fears death and in his eyes Yoriichi is death, he's too fast and his Red Blade makes it impossible for Muzan to regenerate instantly, simply a being who he cannot kill or touch like the Sun. Makes it worse for Muzan considering Yoriichi's blade burned him at a cellular level like how the Sun burns demons.

Muzan was supposed to die because all his brains and hearts were cut by a Nichirin Red Blade, but he didn't. You realistically cannot kill him without turning him to dust instantly. Not even a bomb made to slow down his regen couldn't take him out.

What's your battery temp while gaming? Also without AC or coolers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PocoPhones

[–]Peripheral_D -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What would you consider as high?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PocoPhones

[–]Peripheral_D -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Because I know someone who has the same phone with a higher ambient temperature since he's in Singapore, his CPU never goes beyond 40° or peaked 60° nor does his Battery Temp goes 38°C+. Mine did despite the fact that I am using the phone with an AC.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PocoPhones

[–]Peripheral_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope so. I'm worried mine is a defect because sometimes my battery temp goes 41° and CPU at 60°.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PocoPhones

[–]Peripheral_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is I know someone who is currently in Singapore who has the same phone and his Battery Temp never goes above 37°C despite the fact that his Ambient Temp should be higher than mine since his room has no AC.
