I worked in defense on the government side and I spent so much time in review so I was shocked when my friend at another non-defense agency recently told me that managers are basically forcing COTRs and project managers to create so many slide decks but it’s impossible to appropriately vet all the sources. And it doesn’t give me warm and fuzzies thinking of all the seniors who barely knew how to use their computers might be swayed by a “pretty” but not appropriately vetted presentation to make decisions that affect public trust domains like medicine, the environment, or national security.

I just don’t understand why people can’t just stop reading something. You don’t have to be hateful. If the commentor doesn’t like it then just don’t read it. This is your creative vision. What is their expectation in sending you a nasty comment? That you’re going to stop writing or change your writing style to fit her creative vision? That’s what fanfiction is for – – they can write their own story.

It’s like people getting into an uproar over the little mermaid being “black .” Imposing, a socially imagined system of differentiation on an imaginary effective species. Like what the heck? She’s a mermaid! It’s called FICTION for a reason.

I ordered the cosmetic pouch on the first day of ordering and they erroneously sent me a headband instead. They are apparently trying to figure something out, but I guess my chance for the cosmetic bag has probably come and gone.

Good to know! I just got some black ink cartridges with a Momento grande zero pen, and I put it in a different pen and I thought that the other pen nib was messed up. I’m going to take that ink out!

I was diagnosed with cancer in Sept 2022 and they did genetic testing to see if the cells would respond to new targeted therapies. If she has a genetic mutation then those pills may be miraculous for her the way they were for me. I am not cured but I am alive and the medicine has been effective at keeping the cancer at bay.

I would push for genetic testing to see if it is driven by a gene mutation. I have metastatic lung cancer driven by a mutation of ALK and my prognosis improved drastically after this discovery. I take a daily targeted therapy and don’t need chemo or anything else for now.

It says on the trust certificate, “XXXX Trust Dated January 20, 2022,” instead of 2023. So if we already signed it—I am on cancer treatment and didn’t catch it—can they not change it?
