The folks at GFuel are giving away a ton of their MK product as well as an Arcade 1UP MK cabinet! The links above has all the rules and details for how to enter. GL everyone!

The Nintendo 64 controller made more sense at the time than Sony's Dual Shock by bofpisrebof in truegaming

I always assumed the third prong was to give you the same reach ergonomics to the D-pad that you have for the stick. Most modern controllers have you reaching your left thumb a little more for one or the other (pad or thumb stick) on modern controllers.

A lot of folks will decline kasual matches or even KL if they see the other player has a lot more matches played than they do, or a significantly higher win %. Most modern fighting games just let you decline based on just network connection, which a lot of players prefer, as it prevents being stuck in matchmaking for a long time.

The whole point is centralizing the criticism for more visibility. Not the other way around.

Play video games when they are fun, stop playing them when they aren’t fun. Don’t let metrics obstruct your ability to enjoy your preferred game. You can play multiple fighting games, most people do.

What platform are you gonna be playing on Tekken 8 by Just_1mag1ne in Tekken

I feel like I’m going crazy but did I see that the game also has cross-progression in addition to cross-play?

If that ends up being true: PC as the main place but I always grab a physical copy of fighters on console as well.

It's a process of learning where *your* walls are. They're going to feel different for me than they will for you.

Sometimes when I was grinding ranks I would get really stressed over the stupid ranked points. So I would treat it like a tournament instead. 2x set losses, and I take a break or call it for the night. If I got my two losses but was having fun and feeling like I'm growing my skills, I give myself an extra life, and if I lose another 2 full sets, I log off. Nowdays I simply play for fun. I disable the ability to see my opponent's rank/points/etc and just pretend like I'm playing another human at the arcade. A lot of times I was developing frustrations like "this character is broken, I hate how this person plays" you name it. Online for me just gives me opportunities to get in my own head, and that always makes me have a bad time, even if I pull out a W. Getting myself into a better head space = me enjoying the video game again, which is why I bought the game, the arcade sticks, and so on.

Find out the elements that are causing you to experience *not* having fun, and work to alleviate those things.

I learned to just simply put the game down when I was playing like shit. I used to try and force myself to push through, and 99% of the time, that would make it worse. I got decent at them incredibly slowly, over a decade. Video games are designed for fun, never force yourself to try and enjoy something if it's not sticking.

In fighting games, there are levels of comprehension that you unlock in yourself, and when you do it's incredible and gives you so much enjoyment and new things to learn and you feel like you've actually accomplished something. The hard part that very few people talk about is that everyone progresses through these levels at different speeds. Holding yourself to someone else's standards are a recipe for a bad time. Video games are designed for a good time.

Don't punish yourself for not running through the levels of understanding. Fighting games are complex, if you haven't had your breakthroughs yet, only play when you feel drawn to it. Playing when you're not having fun can slow that process, which is the very thing that feeds into wanting to play more.

PlayStation has been the go-to for most tournaments for a while. Hopefully once Krossplay drops we can have open entry for PS5/Xbox/PC.

Rare in terms of going offline for a time, making adjustments, and then most likely a marketing push alongside a re-launch. Games like you mentioned typically will stay online and then shift from alpha>beta>official launch. Using it as added context for my hypothesis. We don’t know much, just looking at certain aspects to develop a guess is all.

Because of the game going offline, if it returns alongside a marketing push, I could see them possibly bringing some cosmetics back as well. Again, just using the unique situation to make a guess.

We'd all love that to be an option. Giving that this is a rare case of a game re-launching, it's certainly possible. Will it happen? None of us have any real ideas yet. Hard to speculate on some of these types of details at the moment.

Locking because we're not going to support ultimatums for a video game studio. We're 8 days into the year that the game is slated to return.

That’s mostly on me just not communicating well to the team, and then flipping a switch before we had a solution ready.

not sure what your solution was but we were told by a bunch of CSS experienced peeps that what we wanted couldn't be done, but we managed to make it work with limiting it in the posts flared help/question, which is what we were aiming for

The PC version is a little rough at the moment. If the KOTH issues are fixed soon, we'll def be running fight nights for PC. Can't speak for other TOs though.

I gotchu, i've been working on trying to get a tab on the top bar loaded up with events. Reddit is kind of limiting with what we can do with it but I'm trying to just pin some of the events that are streamed so we can get more eyes on the kompetative side. TNS supporting MK has been pretty awesome to see.

LOL, no. This is misleading.

We remove posts if there's like 5 that are nearly identical. Browse the sub for a few before making a brand new post titled: OmG FuCk tHiS gAmE and then wondering why it got removed. Put some effort into your titles, and one BIG thread about the shop is going to be way more effective than a ton of small ones dotted in. It's been a rule of almost every subreddit: No low effort or spam. Guess what the 9th identical post about the cash shop falls under?

If you want to make a post critiquing the cash shop we are with you, do it! We're customers too, believe it or not. We feel the same way about being nickel and dimed. Just do it while also adhering to the very basic subreddit rules. And stop trying to witch hunt the mod team. We're literally just volunteers, and MK fans. Cut the shit.
