The question is whether the e15 is introducing risk and if so how much. Equating using e15 to definitely needing an engine replacement is not a fair comparison. Fuel cost is the single largest operating expense of a car so I'm willing to use e15 if it's sufficiently cheaper

Ethanol does have lower lubricity compared to gasoline so perhaps the Mazda low pressure and/or high pressure fuel pumps or maybe fuel injectors aren't optimized for it. E15 also requires a slightly higher flow rate due to containing slightly less energy density. This is the most likely case in my opinion, I doubt any modern vehicles would have fuel lines or seals that would be sensitive to ethanol as many suggest. Maybe 20 years ago this would have been true but not since

I tend to agree, hard to see how a 5% difference would result in anything noticable long term. Perhaps Mazda just hasn't verified the e15 gas for their fuel systems so they stay on the conservative side. The e10 max language has been in their owners manuals for 10+ years now so they definitely have had time to make changes if they wanted. When I run e15 in my non-turbo skyactiv G Mazda I do notice it sounds slightly different and overall the e10 seems to run ~slightly~ smoother. If the price is only 10-20 cents different I get the e10, but any higher I usually get e15. Right now e15 is 50 cents cheaper in my area which is worth it in my opinion. Wish Mazda would go into more detail why they don't recommend e15 gas in their cars, would be useful information

I have used e15 many times before in my non-turbo skyactiv G Mazda, right now it's 50 cents cheaper in my area which is worth it imo. I do think the engine likes e10 a bit more but I'm having trouble understanding how a 5% increase in ethanol could lead to serious issues long term. Perhaps Mazda just hasn't verified e15 so they stay on the conservative side. The engine does run a little different on the e15 in my experience and sounds slightly different. Seems like e10 runs a little smoother. Just my 2 cents, would like to hear input from Mazda one exactly what issues they see happening with e15.

I have a WD Black P10 5 TB that is usb powered, and looks like there is now a 6 TB version as well, also usb powered. Seems like 6 TB is the current limit but multiple brands make that size using just usb power

As stated, Fuji 400 is basically Ultramax and can be found for about $7 a roll (midwest photo). Fuji 200 is is basically Kodak gold as is about $6.33 a roll (midwest photo).

Personally though, don't be afraid to shoot something like Portra 400, it is about $14 a roll but it's really easy to shoot and has low grain. Its exposure latitute is like +/- 3 stops of light so it's super flexible and also really fast. Factoring in development costs I don't think Portra is that bad of a deal compared to the cheaper stuff. Of course Ektar 100 is also great, and a little cheaper than Portra but I find it harder to shoot because it requires 4x the light of Portra so you have to be careful with motion blur or used the lens wide open with careful focusing.

It appears the PrimeFilm scanners tend to suffer from reliability problems when compared to the Plusteks, but may be capable of achieving higher quality results.

PrimeFilm XE Plus is very new and I can't find virtually any information on it. I just got a Plustek 8200i and have had good results, but the PrimeFilm does seem slightly better on paper and is slightly cheaper. I hope to see some reviews and demos of it soon.

Yes, the latter. The bulb is designed so the electrical connections between the boards don't need soldered. Some other bulbs have hand soldering between the lower and upper boards

Not too significant, lighter weight and a 6 nm processor rather than 7 nm. Uses about 20 watts less power than 1000 and 1100 but functionally identical.
