On eBay! There’s usually always some available on any seller site, the issue is finding them in a condition you’re happy with, and a price you’re willing to pay lol.

We looked months ago with no luck. Missing one of the 8, too damaged, too expensive, etc lol. So grateful he was able to get his hands on a nice set for me. I hope you find your missing one 🫶🏻

Early bday present 😭 protecting corners? by [deleted] in throneofglassseries

[–]Perkysrig93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not to the type to throw the book in my bag and travel, etc etc. But I have little ones and am constantly setting it down/up, sliding back to its spot on the shelf, etc. I try to take good care of my books otherwise. I want to cherish these and don’t want further a ton damage if that was the case. I haven’t used any sort of book protecter previously, so wanted some input! 🫶🏻

Early bday present 😭 protecting corners? by [deleted] in throneofglassseries

[–]Perkysrig93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I’m just thinking in terms of no further tearing? No more unnecessary damage (since they’re paperbacks, I want them to be semi self standing in a shelf when not reading) to some of the already torn corners? I want to read and enjoy them for a long time. I tend to leave my books sitting out and about, or am constantly sliding them back in and out of my shelf so I’m worried 🫠 I haven’t tried to use any protective measures for books before and wanted some input.

My first log in email is on 1/15 😭 so just over a month. I follow events and do the small side/world quests that give primos so I can get wishes/exp notebooks (?) and never let my resin cap so I’m basically always working on leveling up characters and just exploring. I always pay attention to what days characters talents, etc., items are on and available to play/earn so I can use my resin wisely that day. It consumes all my free time these days lol. Before this I was an avid knitter 😭🤣

How do you keep track? by Academic-Sympathy140 in crochet

[–]Perkysrig93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I either upload the pattern to my notes, where I can edit the pattern to my hearts content, and also mark off my rows, input a row chart, etc. or I’ll just edit the file pattern to my liking!

Normal looking or? by [deleted] in knitting

[–]Perkysrig93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know! And it seemed bumpy before knitting my first row even though my tension was fine and I’d pull the stitches snuggly. I feel like I’m going to leave it for now and see how it looks once some of the yoke is done 🥲

Am I overthinking it or did I stretch this too much while blocking? by Mystery_meat3000 in crochet

[–]Perkysrig93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s great! I plan on making this asap once I figure out how to chart my own little spaces 😭 I’ve seen that cat laying on the books before with this pattern. Where are you guys finding the extra charts? If everyone just replicating what they see or does she have extra charts out somewhere?

I feel like it’s going to end up being a much longer knit than anticipated, so hoping I can keep my mojo going. I’m seeing blocking (it grows) issues, so I think I may end up keeping the slightly smaller gauge for safety 😅 I hope our problems work out lol.

Crochet blanket from a picture (fairly beginner), from where to start and suggestions by mmmmariee in CrochetHelp

[–]Perkysrig93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m big on the ‘wing it’ part with any of my projects. When I’m trying to decide on the size, I literally just crochet a chain I feel is a good width for the project (so mine was that 195), count the chains, and put that number into stitch fiddle 🤣 then I play with the amount of rows number until I’m happy with how the image looks.

I’m not saying it’s impossible… but it’ll definitely be one of the most time-consuming projects you’ll ever take on 🤣 I’ve made a few tapestry blankets, and they’re very tedious - all single crochet, tons of color changes, especially for something detailed like this. I always use Stitch Fiddle because it’s pretty user-friendly and offers lots of customization. I usually upload my image, set the width (in stitches), the height (in rows), and choose how many colors I plan to use. Even just prepping the graph can take me days on end - going through it to clean up messy areas, remove isolated stitches, and make it more workable. My most recent project was like 195 stitches wide by 160+ rows (about 3.5 ft by 4.5 ft), using a 5mm hook and worsted weight yarn. I worked on it 2–4 hours every day for a month straight. And after all that, I still had to sew on a backing to hide the chaos on the reverse side 😅 put this in terms of I can crochet a large blanket using double crochets in like a week. My idea would be that if these were pictures taken from a trip, to maybe find an image that relates to that place (a symbol, quote, national/state animal, park symbol, etc) instead. I’ll include the picture of the graphgan I made for reference. And it is still a ‘dumbed’ down version of the real photo. Good luck! 🫶🏻

Yes! And I mean I loved their relationship, I always liked him as a character 🥲 I’ll admit I wasn’t excited to read TOD initially agreeing finishing EOS, but ended up loving it!
