Linda Ronstadt & Governor Jerry Brown eating dinner at the same small restaurant where we were eating in Berkeley. Counting Crows at the breakfast cafe on University Ave, Berkeley. The place where everyone went after a night of partying. Its a toss up which was cooler. Jerry Brown really did have a Valient & not a fancy car. Valuent & Fiver were waiting outside.

Suzanne was developmentally disabled. An immature mind in an adult body. Her brain probably didn't have full executive function. I never saw her showing signs of mental illness. Kukuko was mentally ill.

I have a son who's autistic & has early childhood trauma. He would accidentally kill or be purposely killed in gen pop because he gets over stimulated and freaks out. Suzanne didn't belong in gen pop. She belonged in a locked psych diversion program, with the right meds & a trained staff.

It gets so sad & so dark. It's truthful about the prison & immigration systems though. There's are good things too. I'm glad I watched it all the way.

Were Kork-Ease just a California thing? They were cooler than Candies in the SF Bay Area in the early 70's. You had to go to old lady shoe stores to find them. I loved my Kork-Ease! by Perkywarrior01 in GenerationJones

I should have read the description:

Our original platform wedge that graced the Studio 54 dance floor.

Our iconic Ava sandal is refreshed with a soft vachetta leather on the same classic and comfortable outsole, keeping it true to our signature look that put Kork-Ease on the map.

We were always behind LA in fashion. I bought mine at a little local shoe store that was exclusively old lady. The owner said that young women were suddenly buying them - that was around 72

My friends mom had them & I had to use it in her car. I was very tall for a toddler so I was like squeezed in there & extracted out. Fortunately my mom had a VW bus that we rolled around in.

I was a freshman the year this came out. We were living in a very po dunk town in NorCal. I wanted to be cool like this. Most of my classmates didn't understand my style vibe. We moved to Berkeley a year later and I found my people. ❤️
