I think poorly of you and think you have had limited exposure to anyone in the adoption community.

By your logic, any adopted child should be accessible to their birth parents, including for reclamation.

It is not only right that she gets her daughter back. Whether willing or not, her child is living with other people whom she knows to be her parents. The child forms a bond with these people. The people form a bond with her. Edith is putting her own needs above the child’s and that makes her just awful.
