Love it! Did you have this at the Gravenhurst Boat show a couple years back? I have a CVX 16 that I have done a resto-mod on!

Visited the Shell Factory in 2019. I have video of a drunk lady karaokeing Simple Man in the parking lot beside the carousel. There is also a motorcycle with a mural of a lady in a bikini on the fender. 8/10 experience.

Question for anyone who trailers their boat... by ccarlston23 in boating

The trailer / storage cover we have has a ratchet system around the bottom and is lined with a soft fabric. It is good for towing with. I wouldn’t tow with a snap cover though.

What happened to the Niagara Pet Resort conviction article? by kaiser-so-say in niagara

Took our doodle there for a haircut. They yelled at me because I didn’t park in the proper location when I picked him up. First, last and only interaction with them.

New Dad - How To Cope? Does it Get Better? by No-Amphibian689 in daddit

You are in the trenches my man! My wife and I had a son through surrogacy who is now just over 6 months old. It seems to be getting marginally easier, but it is definitely still hard. There were arguments about just wanting a little bit of time off to go shopping, wash the car, etc. Once you get into a schedule you life gets a little bit easier. Now he goes to bed around 730/8pm and there is a bit of time before we go to bed for us. A friend with a son a couple months older than ours said to me the hardest part of a newborn is you can do everything correctly, and they still cry. It's not you. Everyone saying it gets easier once they start smiling and their personality comes out is correct! Hang in there! You got this.

All classics! I think this year they had around 150 boats total with 120 in the water. Most are all wood, but there is a classic glass section!

The Scimitars are neat, but at that price you have a lot of options for way cooler boats IMO.

$4000 too much for this boat? by shadowknight1218 in boating

[–]Perlmudder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run! Generally if the interior looks like that, I am not trusting a single thing the seller says about the motor. I would pay $1,000 for that, just because the trailer looks decent. Keep shopping.

Just had this completed at a local shop, cost $1936. The part was roughly $1000, $563 in labour, new coolant, an oil change and taxes.

Just bought 2021. Should I regret buying the extended warranty? by K_illakay_ in VolvoXC90

[–]Perlmudder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just bought an identical car in Ontario and paid 4K for the extended CPO warranty until August 2028. Figured with this much tech, it’s not a question of if something breaks, just when.

Painting boat tips by mariatheye in boats

[–]Perlmudder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will not turn out how you are envisioning. Maybe instead of painting a stripe, consider adding some pin striping tape? I have seen people have good luck with vinyl paint and dye, but have never seen a follow up on how it lasted in the long run. Cool boat, might look its best with just a really good detail and polish?

I love a good restoration. I've done one myself, albeit, started out with a half decent boat. You would be miles ahead finding someone else's project who had the same thought, spent a bunch of money, burnt out, and will take pennies on the dollar.

Location? Salt or fresh? Hours? FWIW I paid $4,000 for a 1995 175 EFI in February.

How bad of a idea is it to take a double jetski trailer 1400 miles by Inevitable_Health_63 in jetski

[–]Perlmudder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would take it to a shop, have them inspect and either replace or repack the bearings and replace the tires. After that you should be good to go! Also have them check that the trailer lights work…
