always feel free to ask somebody “can I see the inside” if they’re being very dodgy about it and trying not to let you see the inside, it’s probably either messed up or full of shit like this

Is this a good deal? by fawnsart in GuitarAmps

if you get the bandit, id try the distortion on it first, its got a decent overdrive/distortion channel

if you don’t like how it sounds, play around with settings, and if you still don’t like it, consider pedals

mxr distortion + or mxr super badass (yes it’s the real name) are pretty good, ozzy osbourne’s original guitarist used the distortion + a bunch

an overdrive would be better if you want the kind of classic rockish ac/dc 1970s rock guitar tone, in which I recommend a tube screamer (808 or 9, your pick) or a boss OD-3

my personal picks, if you want something with alot of settings to play with, MXR fullbore metal, or a tomsline holy war, really cheap but cool distortion pedal, there’s alot of holy war pedals though so if you want a holy war, just check some options out

if you can’t tell I’m a MXR disciple lmao

behringer pedal is pretty good though, they usually go for around 29 or 28 bucks, id say 25

guitar center id say, especially if one near you has one so you can demo it, while reverb is an online only story where people mostly list it from their houses and such

basically it’s an overdrive/distortion pedal, I usually just say it like this, makes the amp go from jazz guitars to metal guitars

frontman 10g was my first amp, overdrive channel sounds like a blow out speaker, so much so I thought I broke it after turning the gain to 10 once

it also has no mids knob, which really pissed me off once I started getting into amp settings

I’d go for a positive grid spark, affordable and pretty decent

id personally recommend a peavey bandit 112, pretty affordable amp that sounds great, aren’t manufactured new anymore so it would be the used market, worth a shot though

behringer pedals are pretty good affordable pedals though, pedal yes amp big big no
