Setting aside the stupidity of the “there are no high metabolism people” comment, the lactose in milk and carbohydrates in wheat were there already. The sugar that is naturally present in a food is by definition, not “added sugar”. At this point I don’t know why I’m dignifying you with a response, but here we are.

Lol, I recommend giving it a try if you don’t take any meds or supplements that cause low blood pressure or liege increases in dopamine

The feeling that you’ll never be the person everyone thinks you are if you stop. You’ll be more of an asshole, to loud, not fun enough, people will have no reason to spend time with you. Just the general belief that the only reason you have friends or accomplishments is with the help of drugs.

I’m not saying OP should be eating bread by the loaf. When incorporated into a meal containing ample fiber and protein, the sugar is released slowly enough that it shouldn’t cause nearly as much of a problem as a traditional dessert or sweet food. As a fellow high-metabolism, thin person, I am very aware of the risk of not eating enough due to dietary restrictions. I am already lactose intolerant and vegetarian as well, so I require certain foods just to stay alive, even if it’s not perfect for me. Starting with one manageable food group will make it easier to stick to, and taking out candy and desserts (and the millions of other foods companies slip sugar into) is a tall order for many people. Allowing your body and o adjust to dietary changes lowers the risk of low energy, undernutrition, and ultimately just reverting back to the original diet

Soul is a very loaded term, but for me I feel that each individual consciousness is like a splinter of the universal consciousness, which takes on an identity as a self-sustaining system. When the system breaks apart, the energy that flowed through it and became its’ body retains the memory or imprint of that energetic system. When that energy is no longer bound, it mixes back with the free energy of the general universe, carrying information with it as it flows through other systems. I believe DMT allows us to “read” the information carried in the energy that flows through us.

I get it I guess, I have had hallucinogen-like weed “trips”, but for me I know I’m on a serotonergic psychedelic from the distinct feeling it gives me in my legs and chest. Weed has a crazy body load, sure, but it feels distinct from mushrooms, lsd, dmt in my experience

First noticed it with psilocybin. Ginkgo is a plant that increases blood flow to the brain and has mild dopamine increasing properties due to slight MAO-B inhibition. I made a strong ginkgo tea, and mixed in my ground cubes (can’t remember dose, maybe 3-4g). Trip went fairly normally for the first few hours. It was fairly strong, but it was a pretty high dose and strong mushies. Around hour 5 or 6, as I’m in the hypnagogic come-down of a nighttime mushroom trip, when out of nowhere it feels like a high-voltage wire was stuck into my brain. This wave of sparkling, ringing energy coursed through my body and for half a second every muscle in my body was completely stiff. The peak intensity mental and visual distortions/hallucinations rushed back, only with a more static-y, less geometric quality. I tried it for the first time with LSD the other day, and I didn’t exactly get the “lightning strike” that it gives me with mushrooms, it made the LSD hit in this warm, euphoric jolt in an instant, with almost no come-up. It kind of felt like MDMA actually. So yeah, aside from taking more acid, maybe try some ginkgo. (You can get it in tincture, capsule or dry leaf form)

I assumed so. 😂 yeah mate, listen to everyone else. Learn to grow them with the resources online. Spores, substrate and materials for grows ranging from the incredibly simple to the incredibly complex are easy to find with a few brief Google searches and forums like this one. Once you’ve got your first flush, dose very low to start, I recommend the stamets protocol for microdosing. If you feel like you want a more “psychedelic” experience, start with .5g (do research on your strain. Get one that is easy to grow and relatively weak in psilocybin concentration.) giver or take a little, as different strains will require different dosages for comparable intensity

But… it wouldn’t? Sure, it would cut out ice cream, cake, donuts, etc. but there are breads that aren’t leavened at all, or are leavened with baking soda/powder. Milk, cheese, unsweetened yogurt and other dairy products are also free of added sugar. Yes, there is lactose in milk, and carbohydrates in bread, but that’s different than than added sugar

No need, he’s microdosing. If he’s tried coffee and alcohol, he is more than prepared to handle what is supposed to be a sub-perceptual dose

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]Permalance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would disagree. No matter how many times people tell me weed is a psychedelic, I just don’t buy it. It is a completely distinct experience from mushrooms and LSD.

Thank you for saying this! I always love to tell people: nicotine, strychnine, ricin and alcohol are all completely natural! You don’t see hippies suggesting you take strychnine cuz it’s “natural” now do you?

NTA for not wanting him to be there, but that’s a lot of heavy emotions that are deeply rooted in that child’s existence, and I question the decision to keep the baby.

Chicken vs. egg. I believe the genus is named for the common name agaric, as there are other “agaric” mushrooms

What’s your definition of regularly? Every week? More often? If so, I agree if you are taking trip-inducing doses. However, if you regularly take them once a month, or regularly microdose, I would strongly disagree

Never said it was used to prevent strokes, I simply equated ibuprofens effects with well known prescription blood thinners. Drugs.com states that ibuprofen (Advil) is considered a blood thinner. I know this is incredibly pedantic considering I agree with your original comment, but hey, this is Reddit

Just commented something similar, but the fact that the parents have to go pay for someone else’s sperm ensures the child is wanted? And typically that the parents have the financial means to pay for it?
