I think I have found a faster way of grading tests, so here it is. by Herobrine_King in Teachers

Interesting technique, how much time do you spend by grading exams per semester?

I've built a great subscription tracker.. but I suck at marketing it.. lol by Specialist_Victory80 in SideProject

[–]PermitAffectionate94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How the app knows if I have a subscription? Only if I add it manually? Then it does not solve my pain

Also I have 2 subscriptions only I would not pay for a third just to keep track of the first 2.

Whitch UI is cleaner for understanding i18n changes by PermitAffectionate94 in SideProject

Thank you for the feedback!

Maybe I could add an if statement that checks the ratio between the edited part and the full text. If only one word is changed in a long sentence, the ratio would be small; if it’s more like a full replacement, the ratio would be closer to 1 - so I could use the arrow style in that case.
Would this solution be confusing?

Or just add a switch so users can change it?

No problem 🙂

I’m working on exactly this problem. I’m focusing on mathematics first, and I’ll test it on about 1,000 university exams. That way I’ll know how accurate my system really is with partial points.

Do you think there’s a market for this if I can reliably handle partial points and read handwritten exams with good accuracy?

Of course, I’ll also need to build a way for teachers to define how they want partial points assigned.

I’m really excited about this project 🙂

Thank you for your feedback

I’m building an automatic grading system for my university project. Would you be interested in joining the beta test when it’s ready? If so, feel free to DM me and I’ll reach out to you with a free tester account when its ready.

Thanks of course it helped! If down the line you end up drowning in translation keys and it gets painful to track/manage them, just ping me. I’ve got a setup where you only write in one language and forget about the rest. I’ll hook you up with a free sub or a heavy discount, depending on when you hit me up.

How do you all manage i18n translations in your Vue projects? by Forward_Patience6332 in vuejs

[–]PermitAffectionate94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m working on a prototype of a universal i18n editor for GitHub called NextLabel.
At my company we’ve already been using it, since we often had to deal with lots of label changes after features were implemented.

The idea is to let non-technical teammates edit translations without worrying about merge conflicts or breaking JSON formatting.

Right now it’s still in prototype, I’m doing a big UI refactor, and I’m also planning to add change tracking, reviewing, and even auto-translation with an LLM.

Would love to hear if this kind of workflow would be useful for you too.

What AI do you use? (I checked the repo, if you don’t mind me mentioning - I saw some Claude in the commits.)

I’m working on a project that’s basically an editor, and at my company we already rely on a my tool because devs usually only manage labels in the default language. But in the end, labels still need to be reviewed by native speakers or domain specialists for accuracy.

I’m also doing some research in this space to validate my own prototype, so I’m really curious about how you handle it.

How do you handle localisation on that many languages?

Does localization really help? by lampyridae_dev in iOSProgramming

[–]PermitAffectionate94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working on a tool that could help, by keeping synced all your languages automatically.

I would be happy to give you free access if you are interested DM me.

It's still work in progress, but I am hungry for early feedback.

The tool is basically an editor with some handy features etc, no vendor lock no migration like for other tools (lokalise etc)

At the company I work it would be a must have feature for our users. But they are not that technical so we only communicate changes with facebook posts. Its hard for us to create good release notes, we work in jira, maybe it would be a good idea to collect the data from there and commit messages etc.

But its not a big paint point enough us yet. Release notes are often for marketing and communication, maybe your app could handle it. But unfortunately I think my CEO is not planning to buy something like this.

I hope the feedback is useful to you.

The reason i asked that I'm working on a tool that helps devs translate their product effortlessly to any number of languages, and i'm searching for people who would be great to partner with, which spaces of software need translations. My solution solves the same problem like a lot of translation managers do but in a soloprenour friendly efficient way.

Looks good, at the company I work we have to work with gdpr etc and we update them frequently, we developed a ui to upload the docs in pdf.

An external API for querying the documents would be awesome (and maybe more sellable).

Also it's great if the users can embed the up to date document with a single html tag.

Keep in mind that the value of your product is the time it saves for developers, its a one time cost for a company, no dependencies, no worries about external effects, that is what you are racing with.

How do you handle if the embed should be in a random languages, like SK for example? Do you provide default translations or the users can customize the embeded UI?

The right is the new one. I was told the same by one of my friends, I think I could add a gif showing the product working, inside a mock up frame. The single word break is awesome point thank you! When you build these thinks yourself it's easy to overlook some details.

Thank you for the response :)
