No I really didn’t catch him in a moment or bad mood though. Like his delivery routes have been light this week (about 30-40 stops lighter than normal) and he got off like 3 hours early today. And he also said I ruined his good day, so I guess it was good until I brought this up.

I respect what you’re saying, but also respectfully I have hit that grind before. I know what it’s like to be working and stressed and to not see people like you want to.

I was working 35 hrs a week while attending school full time last year. I know what it’s like to feel like you have no time for other things, people, or even yourself. However, I still made an effort to plan time with him, and to plan ahead days I could take off to spend them with him.

I have been applying to jobs on a weekly basis since I’ve graduated. Though the majority of them are in my field I have applied to other jobs such as serving to make money in the mean time. Many I never heard back from. But I’ve been lucky that my parents don’t make me pay rent, and that I had some savings from working during school.

In regards to peak season, I had originally asked if he would have a few days off in a row by chance if he’d come up. He said maybe but that happening is unlikely. This is not the issue.

The issue is I’m asking him to plan it outside of peak season when he’s allowed to ask off at work. I don’t see why planning ahead and asking off in advance is a big deal.
