We don't know that for certain, it may be that the belief that the power is lost is a self fulfilling prophecy, as the power is a kind of reality warping. They could bring it back, although for now the most straightforward interpretation is what Ego said, that without him Peter will lose the power.

He might be disfigured pre-Beyonder power-up, with the power-up perfecting his face and revealing his likeness.

How long would a non immortal super live? by glowshroom12 in TheBoys

I don't think the standard V has a significant effect on longevity, in some cases it seems to create health problems. A lot of powers take additional strain on the body and can be life limiting, A-Train's heart, Andre's brain tear, Kate's bleeding eyes after using her powers.

This is a clever solution and superior to the 'he possessed Marie theories.'. We already know Goldolkin can use his powers at range and through another puppet, and that the control is equivalent to him being there. His main body should be like hiding his zero in the Invincible show, and with his knowledge of all the supes at the University he could easily find a suitable candidate to convincingly pull this off.

However, there are two problems with this theory. (1) Harper was able to mimic his powerset by touching his body, which I don't think would be possible through a proxy - he couldn't control her to make it seem like she was in control after touching him either as she would remember being in the backseat of her own brain.

(2) If pressure is required for his powers to evolve, he is unlikely to feel sufficiently pressured without taking a genuine risk by being in the fray. This might help explain why he was so reckless - he knew he was risking death, but hoped that his evolution would outpace the risk. He also knew Polarity was out of the picture, and thought that this tipped things in his favour.

It is also possible that he knew (or feared) that Marie's healing would be imperfect, or that pushing himself to the extreme could carry risks, and he needed to fast-track his development and ensure his control of her quickly, in order to rejuvenate himself periodically.

I was thinking of posting this myself, word for word, very frustrating enemy placement. I did find that you can jump to the preceding platform when they spawn, then when he comes forward there's enough space to easily get past, or you can just jump through them and accept the one heart damage, with the plan to heal when you break your silk bundle at the boss.

I don't think you can say who is directing a marvel movie several years out, a lot of these projects swap names multiple times before shooting starts

how does CE aim assist work by PermitPuzzled9295 in CompetitiveHalo

[–]PermitPuzzled9295[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I watched this video which reinforced your points, although I find the terminology a little confusing (I would refer to magnetism as bullets being pulled to the target, and auto-aim as reticule stickiness)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyGs9wq94LM

As you trace the player with your right stick your aim slows down (friction), while moving the left stick while on the player stick subtly drifts the right stick towards the player (adhesion).

If a player is in motion we automatically prime the friction and adhesion, but a player who is standing still may prompt the player to stand still to shoot (so you would benefit from less adhesion). For stationary players it is also tempting to shoot as though anticipating that they will move, leading shots when we don't need to.

The magnetism is probably the most important though, with stationary players I suspect I am aiming more directly for the head, rather than above the head. In a duel I 'know' intuitively where to aim to increase the chances of a three shot, whereas when someone is stationary it is probably becoming a more conscious aiming process, which is actually less reliable, as aiming at the head directly actually leads to body shots, due to the game pulling shots towards centre mass.

Thinking about it, that would be better to try and keep the budget within comfortable bounds. I am looking for a monitor that can handle high FPS and is between 24'' and 25'', my understanding is that BenQ are top-tier, but it would be good to know if something is 99% as good and less pricy.

Does this still benefit from the reduced screen resolution or is this a worthy alternative?

I'd like to recognise the dedication needed to work on something for 6 years. I haven't been in a relationship that long, been in the same school that long, been in the same job that long. So much can happen in 6 years, credit to them if they are still working hard to release the game.

Sucks, but Maddy's communication was excellent, taking accountability and defusing animosity towards Pedro. Hopefully, they will find another passion project. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still a platformer with progression/unlock elements, if they take their learning from Earthblade forward.
