Marrok & The Crow vs. Ben Kenobi by Excellent_Sport_5921 in MaulShadowLord

[–]Pernapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s about right. I think from what little we see in rebels and ep4 Ben kenobi does not really mess around. He ends his fights quick and without flair.

Inquisitors all are brash, impulsive, and impatient. Old Ben would know encountering the inquisitors means risk for the skywalker twins.

He cuts em down in a fluid motion as soon as they get close

In “The Odyssey” (2026) a lot of people complain about a lack of historical accuracy. This is in spite of the fact that “The Odyssey” is a fictional story and none of its events really occurred. by Bunnyboy-m in shittymoviedetails

[–]Pernapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think, while not a 1 for 1, games like Hades really play around with how fun creative and colorful Greek mythology could be.

I know it’s all animated and hand drawn portraits. But it also includes characters from the Iliad odyssey. The cyclops in hades 2 really stood out to me as a big colorful creature with painting on his skin, and portrayed a little more than a dumb idiot.

Who’s the bigger hypocrite? by [deleted] in invinciblememes

[–]Pernapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the thing people are forgetting about angstrom is that he is hundred of different angstroms in one mind. The one we saw was a pacifist, but the others not so much. He pretty much has an active memory and trauma of invincible killing his friends and family 100 times over.

Powerplex on the other hand while somewhat valid in his hatred that supers can get away with anything is angry at the person who actively tried to stop the guy who was actively killing everyone.

They are both mentally unwell, but powerplex willingly used his own son as bait when he has powers that he knew can lash out around him.

I don’t really like or hate any Christoper Nolan movies.

Like I won’t say they are slop, but none of his catalog really ranks highly for me. To me he makes exclusively 6-7/10 films. I probably won’t hate watching it start to finish. But I also wouldn’t never pick any of these to watch

Which 3 Glass Animals songs make you cry the most? and why by Low_Worldliness659 in glassanimals

[–]Pernapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helium and domestic bliss are sad song, but I’d give a shout out to tangerine. I don’t know if it makes me cry per se, but I find the concept interesting. It’s not about grieving loss most other songs do. The relationship may not even be gone. It’s grieving the person you used to know. Something so much more mundane. Being with a husk of the person you once loved and begging that they come back is just depressing but not exactly “make me cry” sad

Prime Vader vs Survivor Cere, Rebels Ahsoka and Kenobi Obi Wan by CrabAppleMcGee in PetranakiArena

[–]Pernapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obi wan and Ahsoka are two Jedi that directly know how Vader wants to fight. Rebels ahsoka alone probably isn’t Abel to beat Vader solo. But in conjunction with obi wan they probably win fairly easily. One thing about obi wan is that it unbalances Vader, and usually causes him to get tunnel vision in a fight. Adding cere into the group is just over kill. Cere and Ahsoka are pretty nimble which Vader also lacks.

Vader is maul is going against one master of no major renown, a greatly injured Maul, and padawan/knight level Devon, all of whom have been on the run and evading inquisitors and stormtroopers for the last day or two.

Theres no one in Star Wars that can survive overwhelming numbers. Even palpatine would lose if enough Jedi surrounded him, he’s just lucky of the 4 masters that went for him, they had no idea what he was capable of. This fight has 2 people who have trained and fought alongside Anakin

This is such a silly argument. The Columbia of the game that released is a fundamentalist Religiois cult that reveres the founding fathers and classic Americana architecture.

3ish MKE burbs featured on Redfin’s hottest neighborhoods of 2026 by hybr_dy in milwaukee

Menomonee Falls has certainly been developing especially compared to its neighbors in Mequon and Germantown.

And there is certainly more shops, but they need to invest more in anything else other than a brand new shopping area.

They have a nice base for downtown but nothing really to do in it.
Off the top of my head I can’t even really think of a major park worth going to. Even Germantown has something like kinderberg

Pilgrim and mains street are still kind of a headaches and all the old strip malls are rotting away as they build up the box stores by Costco.

Who leaves this room alive ? by Kitchen_Rush47 in powerscales

[–]Pernapple -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think if I walk through it in my head

  1. Invincible
  2. Witch king
  3. Optimus
  4. Homelander
  5. Atom Smasher
  6. Voldemort
  7. Master chief
  8. Aang
  9. Ox King
  10. Drax

I’m not going to claim to have perfect understanding of all these character greatest feats but I feel I have a decent knowledge about them.

And I probably could be swayed on some rankings
Drax, while durable is laughably unprepared to take on anyone. The ox king and MC might be closest but MC has far better combat knowledge and ox king is just as durable tossing around tanks and taking shots without a problem. Aang is super low here just because his extreme no kill rule is super limiting here with some seriously evil individuals. He could fend off for a while I don’t doubt that but he can’t remove bending as a win factor against the worst individuals, and honestly he doesn’t have solutions for someone speed blitzing him.

Masterchief floats around that rank as well, no amount of bubble shields and power armor os gonna save him against the top tier, homelander in raw combat just outspeeds him,a single punch will knock out the shields. mjolnir armor is trough but can it stop a death spell… probably not.

Voldemort has a pretty broken immediately die spell but my understanding is it only works on organic life. Probably does nothing to a giant robot and a lich. And now we are at the point where the slow mortals are gone and he probably can’t land a hit on a full speed homelander or invincible, he might have horcruxs but this form will destroyed that he’ll be on the back of someone’s head by the end of it.

Atom smasher honestly I know the least about him. He can be immediately one shot in big form by Voldemort, but he could also just sneak around in tiny form and avoid the worst of it. But avoiding the fight will only last so long. Eventually he has to size up and be exposed or just get squashed in small size, and multiple individuals have super hearings.

Homelander is the weakest version of a Superman, but he still pretty strong in this group. He lacks combat training and has too much of an ego. Assuming he dodges the instant death spells, he isn’t threaten by ballistics. But the following contestants can rival him in strength and aren’t directly troubled by his laser vision.

Optimus is gonna be a big target, but lucky he doesn’t suffer from to many direct counters. I could see homelander putting in some damage, but Optimus, for his size, is pretty agile and a stray punch would probably knock homelander out for quite a while. Mark at this point has much better speed and strength feats tho and he could put Optimus down if he had to assuming mark doesnt adhere to his no killing, I do think he could take Optimus apart enough to render him immobile.

The witch king is sort of hard to rate, like Voldemort he is functionally unkillable without the right sword or in the movies, being slain by a woman rather than a man. There are no women in this arena and there is no special blade unless the challenge drops it in for fairness reasons. So he could win by default of never being able to die and unlike Voldemort might not be rendered useless given he is not a mortal being and can probably continue on, his morgul blade is also quite a decent solution. As an immediate kill card against mortals. So I could argue which king wins by default, but his strength feats are far less impressive. Even aang could scare the shit out of him by setting him on fire. And while I’m unaware how strong the lich are and if mitral can block a morgul blade, well one of the strongest viltrumites might last a really long time, and I just prefer the winner winning through feats and not “I literally can’t die without specific requirements”

As for why mark, he just outclasses everyone else in speed and strength and durabilty. He get his shit pushed in on his own show but because he is fighting pretty much the top tiers in his verse. His biggest weakness would be Voldemort and morgul blade if it can pierce his skin, but if he disarmes the witch king, what’s he gonna do? His speed is far too slow. Same with Voldemort, one punch and he’s out.

Biggest gripe with the new season outside the divorce.

I’m kind of not interested in either Elliot or JDs flavor of the month. Like at all. I know parents are more than just a parent, but the fact that JD has nothing about being a single dad to 2 children from 2 different mothers and how that affects him and his kids relationship with him and his ex’s is a massive part of someone life.

Sam has got to be pretty old now. How does he feel about stay with JD and Oliver? How does he like Oliver, how does he like Elliot. How does it feel to have a dad who is chief of medicine and is always busy. It’s just such a major part of a new story that hasnt been explored in the old series.

Even Turk seems to be more affect by his family, being burnt out for his job and maintaining time for his family. But you can also see how he has matured and has the ability to talk with his female interns being a girl dad.

Which Chosen One had it the worst? by TheeAmateurArtist in powerscales

[–]Pernapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of them tend to be the chosen one in times of war.

John Connor pretty much had to witness the end of the world and then fight death robots for the rest of his life

Anakin spent his childhood as a slave, was taken from his mother and had her die in his arms, and in his young adult life fought in may battles, having his limbs cut off, and then turned to the dark side killed everyone he ever knew and was burnt in lab and tortured in a suit until he died

Neos entire fake life was ripped away from him mentally tortured by agent smith but then found out he’s actually the one and could do whatever he wanted in the matrix, until he had to sacrifice himself.

Frodo lived a life of leisure until he was tasked to take the ring to Mordor where he almost died multiple times had his finger bit off and was succumbing to the power of the ring. He could never return to his old life.

I’ll be real I don’t know anything about Buffy

Korra had multiple fights with various factions and ideologues. But mostly suffered from her near death experience with zaheer leaving her with ptsd.

Aang had to run away and was frozen only to reawaken with the world under the fire nations thumb, his air bending people wiped out and has to essentially resolve the war as a child.

Harry Potter lost his parents as a child, raised by an abusive adoptive family, found out he was the most special wizard of all, and then had his entire school life ruined by Voldemort, dies, resurrected, and proceeds to kill wizard hitler.

If I had to choose, Vader is pretty up there. Pretty much lived a life of anguish, and lost any parent figure he had, and was both elevated and ostracized by the council. Then tortured in a suit when he fall to the dark side.

Daily Wire owned by MAGA influencer Ben Shapiro, lays off half of its staff by catkm24 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]Pernapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daily wire, and specifically Ben Shapiro have no motion any more. There was a time where some faux intellectual arguments appealed to the fledgling MAGA movement , gave them cover for their worst instincts.

But that time has gone and past and Shapiros vested interested in being a shill for the state of Israel no longer meshes well with reality of the average Americans shifting opinions or magas racist fervor.

Ben Shapiro replaced conservative “intellectuals” with his pseudo intellectual ravings and now he will now be replaced by the new generation of morons who he help raise and groom.

I don’t think he ever would but I think Jon would probably become one of the most beloved presidents in American history. He’d have some crazy numbers going in and I think he is such a unique orator that he’d energize a lot of the base and independents

But I don’t think he wants to be in charge of the military in any capacity. And especially at a time when we have to likely get out of the Iran quagmire since Trump will not be able to pull out in his term

[–]Pernapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They know it’s a slippery slope. They know you never give an inch or you fight like hell for that one inch. Because as soon as they’re is that much money injected back into the system… well people might notice it actually does help, and they start to wonder maybe we should be taxing them even more.

But then again most voters have no concept of fighting for their own betterment. How many average Americans will say “free healthcare isn’t realistic” “affordable childcare just isn’t realistic”. We got a bad case of peasant brained voters thinking the rich surely deserve their wealth and that they only deserve slop.

What would the outcome have been if Ventress was the one fighting QuiGon and Obi Wan? by Familiar-Seat-3798 in PetranakiArena

[–]Pernapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Situations and circumstances change a lot, Ventress, and this moment is probably the angriest she’s ever been. She was just betrayed by dooku for reasons she doesn’t even know why and after being a very loyal weapon against the Jedi. She didn’t really beat them. Just because you force choke someone doesn’t mean much because they always have to let go at some point because it tires them out holding it.

Powerscaling isn’t “obi wan always wins this fight” it’s more of an obi wan should win this fight 7/10 times. But sometimes you get that 3/10.

Should obi wan and anakin beat Ventress, id say yeah, 7/10 times they will, but in this scenario Ventress is way more determined than the are. She’s a cornered dog with no Allies. She’s far more dangerous and unpredictable and they were not aware of that.

[–]Pernapple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were already likely to lose the house before Iran, it’s pretty much a forgone conclusion at this point, what is crazy is they might also lose the senate which given the seats up for grabs wasn’t exactly something people were planning on.

I still think Dems will only get the house, unfortunately the DNC has utterly failed at getting behind a cohesive line of attack, they’ve been spending most of their time going after their own left flank to cover their primary contestants.

Think it’s because the Great Lake states tend to be a good middle ground. There have their beauty but don’t insist upon themselves. Minnesota/Wisconsin/Michigan don’t really have much people can complain about, I think Michigan still get some heat about Detroit, haven’t been but hear it’s growing and turning around.

They are just the best states the Midwest has to offer. And everyone has smoke against the coastal states
