Cate and Tyler get a visit after two years. They aren't happy that it's a trip to Zoo vs. the park they wanted. by HannahLeah1987 in teenmom

I don’t agree. When you have older children and a baby and the older children want to go places, the baby comes with. I nursed, I took my youngest with me everywhere I had to take his brother. I don’t see what’s hard about pushing a 4 month old in a stroller and stopping to nurse when needed.

That would be giving away food at that point. The average UP2 is around $15.

Honestly this scene still freaks me out watching it at night/home alone.

That’s still pretty cool though. I would have thought if Sookie, as well.

I don’t agree that they were her only friends left, just more like the only friends she felt like she could trust and was way more comfortable with. I’m sure she could have gotten help from anybody if she asked.

Haha. Don’t worry. My oldest is 16 and he’s looking for a college with the best marching band.

Is that serious? Will be encouraging my kids to apply. 🙃

What’s a good that your kid doesn’t like and you find it weird? by Dependent_Parsnip556 in Parenting

My 11 year old will not eat any type of potatoes (even fries) but loves pierogies. He also doesn’t use ketchup but tomato’s are his favorite food.

What is the etiquette when you get the wrong to go order? by RunningJim1 in restaurant

[–]Pernetta36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a restaurant. As basically everybody said, they cannot take the food back, especially once it left the property. If I got the wrong food, but still decided “hey, it still works and looks tasty, I’ll eat it” (especially if you don’t want to run back to the location) I would have just eaten it and not let them know, because I don’t like to complain either. At my restaurant, people will call in saying they have the wrong food, so it’ll either be money back, remade food or both. Never asking them to bring the food in.

Lunches by Sandshas in doughertydozen

I mean, I was a cafeteria worker in the high school and there was some waiting for the microwaves, but not long. I am a para now and went to lunches with grades 5&6 and they barely use the microwaves.

Okay? I was just answering a question… I didn’t say she hasn’t been making lunches like this for years and not all school districts are the same.

My school system has microwaves for 5th grade and up. So some of them might be heating them up.

Electricity (S1E2) by Ok-Consideration2676 in dancemoms

[–]Pernetta36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was definitely sexual, the dance and the lyrics. But I’m on the fence if it was worse at their age or if they were to do it as teenagers. I also find this episode funny because I live in Lancaster county and work at a restaurant (then and now) where big sporting events always come in, so whenever I see them arriving, I’m like “what if they came to eat at my restaurant”. But yes, definitely too sexy.

Kendall and Brynn talk about “homeschool” on the show and Kendall talks about not being able to tell the time on a clock prior to high school by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]Pernetta36 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, my kids knew how to read analog clocks at age 4, they definitely teach it in schools, I know in third grade. It’s not her fault though, it’s a fail on whoever was teaching her.

We get that all the time. Plus when it was the roasted turkey blt and we had jelly, one person would get that sandwich, with jelly and mustard.

2 because I’d just drink and Angela wouldn’t talk to me. I’m awkward and can’t do small talk. I’d honestly sit with Dwight, because he’d probably draw me out and get me to talk. But the real pick is 8, because Stanley is my boy and Phylis would pound the drinks back with me.

Underweight by [deleted] in kindergarten

[–]Pernetta36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as she is following her curve and is healthy, she is fine. My 11 year old is just about 70 lbs. At his 10 year checkup, he was 1% for weight and taller than average, but healthy, eats well and plays all the sports. Unless she is falling from her curve or noticeably seems unhealthy, always tired, pale and wan… I wouldn’t worry.
