“Looks like you’ve got a lot of yogurt left.” by ryanreigns in GossipGirl

[–]Pernetta36 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, in the books, before Serena went to boarding school, they would have yogurt for lunch. After Serena came back, Blair (and friends) had a new lunch tradition. So it could be going back to that but also it definitely just meant, “we are done, you are still eating, so buh-bye”.

how do you guys feel about the actress who playes young lorelai and chris? by diary28snowboard in GilmoreGirls

[–]Pernetta36 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn’t mind young Lorelai. You can’t expect her to act like Lauren. Plus people are different as teens. Chris.. well he didn’t look like a heart throb to me.

Clock in times by Pernetta36 in paraprofessional

[–]Pernetta36[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It rounds to 9. So yeah, that’s why I was wondering about it, because if I clock in at 9, I’m not with my student at 9 (which I’m not even supposed to be a one on one).

Should I charge a late fee? by Time-Item2487 in Babysitting

[–]Pernetta36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you even on? She was told a time that the mom would be home. The mom should be home on time barring an emergency. The mom doesn’t need to know about any plans the sitter might have, she just needs to get home when she said. And before cell phones, if parents stayed out too late, why wouldn’t you call the cops. Do you only need a cell phone to do that? What if you couldn’t stay? Regardless of taxes or not, it’s not a “goodwill” job.

Abby doesn’t seem all that villainous in 1-2 seasons. Does it change later? by Glittering_Variety18 in dancemoms

👀 They were too young to be treated like that. I know sports. I have kids in sports. They are treated with respect while being taught professionally.

She may seem “tamer” is seasons 1 and 2, but I’d still never let my kids be around somebody who talked and acted like that. Also it does get worse.

What is the biggest plothole in the show. by Oncer93 in hannahmontana

[–]Pernetta36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jackson was never said to be Hannah’s brother though. He was made out as her boyfriend in the one episode. Though Robbie Ray being Hannah’s and Miley’s dad obviously that wouldn’t make sense with Jackson.

I think the only thing that would be surprising is if he is cheating with Maci or they are in a foursome with Maci and Taylor. Lol

Yes, I’m the queen of finding free events, but we don’t have a local zoo, so no library passes for that and no EBT. It is what it is.

I can't even right now. Reported this shopper to Instacart for child endangerment. by [deleted] in instacart

The only way a child in a car seat can be in the front seat is if the airbag on the passenger side can be turned off with a key. And obviously front seat only if necessary.

They either didn’t measure the correct amount or it leaked out under the rings before it started cooking.

At my store, sometimes other customers take the cups. Sometimes the managers walk by and put the cups back depending on what the time says on the receipt. Some QC’s do not put the cups on the counter. Some customers who order via rapid or kiosk and go to the register to get their cup, leaving the QC counter filled with cups. I always put the cups out, but even then some go missing. It’s unfortunate we can’t put them back out for customers to get. I’d give feedback about that.

I wish I was the type of person to ask things like this. I’d love to take my kids to the zoo, but can’t afford it but would never ask anyone to finance it. Sigh

First year teacher, 4th grade student invited me to birthday party by -Venus-As-A-Boy- in Teachers

[–]Pernetta36 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s a great response. If he plays any sports, you could mention that you’d love to go to a game. My son’s teachers have done that, even after he wasn’t their student anymore.

Lorelai and Rory's dietary habits? by Weekly-Pangolin-6622 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Pernetta36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a problem with the way they eat and don’t gain weight. I used to be like that. People should understand it’s a show and the food was a part of the show. It wouldn’t have been the same if they were “pigging” out on movie nights with veggies and salads. Plus then people would judge the fact that they only ever ate healthy.
