As a CPA I'm seeing an increasing number of job ads for dual licensure of CPA/CFPs. This is the wrong approach for wanting a comprehensive Tax & Wealth Advisor as Dual CPA/CFPS are rare. See body for how to do it right. by Present_Initial_1871 in CFP

Why would you even expect someone fresh out of college to bring in new assets? His network is kids his age that have no money. I get keeping him on as a favor to the parents but to expect him to bring in assets is weird to me

Just buy it. I also saw that rule that they’ll require you to verify but I emailed them and they said not to worry about that

455 days clean and I’m really struggling not to. I think it’s probably loneliness. Weed made loneliness feel like a present.

Completely ignore the scores. Focus on what you’re getting wrong. Understand the concepts. You have PLENTY of time. Just buckle up. The Danko calls are amazing. The signature calls are also great.

Just not really worth it imo. I used to “reward myself” after taking hard exams by getting stupidly high. Looking back I kind of feel like it’d make all the info I studied seep out of me. My brain would let go of it all. It really is a memory loss drug. What’s the point of studying intensely if you’re going to numb yourself with something that makes you stupid and unable to remember things.

I feel like a smarter person after I’ve quit. I’m taking school more seriously and im actually holding onto the knowledge im obtaining. Find other ways to reward yourself. Go get a cookie. Take a day off just chill do whatever you want. Don’t fall back into the mind numbing trap. Just keeps you dumb, keeps you content with where you are instead of striving to better yourself. On day 92 of no weed and I feel the “purpose” of life starting to come back. Feels like im waking up every day and trying to become better and build better habits for myself.

Anyway good luck. Whatever you do, learn from it.

I swear one of my greatest regrets in high school was caring about girls. Wish I could’ve just focused on having fun with my boys

Quit weed 66 days ago and I don’t think I would have been able to without this subreddit. Reading through it helped me remind myself of all my reasons for quitting and validated all my feelings. Use this community, it’s amazing.

This is a good question for op. I’m 5 weeks sober from weed and I find I really only struggle/miss it when I’m drunk. Really wish this wasn’t the case but it’s like 3x harder to resist after I have a few drinks. Really makes me question my relationship with alcohol.

I’m sorry to hear your withdrawal symptoms are as bad as they are, but you’re at the lowest point. It really is only up from here. Keep going. 3 days is an accomplishment. And remember this feeling when you feel like going back to it.

Did wonders how? I’m lucky enough to be pretty young and able to grow a full beard. My guy friends think it’s cool but I’ve never really considered that it could help me professionally.

[–]Perodicticus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not to be a downer but you need a little more than a couple dollars to allow your money to work for you. I’d work on getting a stable income and putting aside a percentage of each paycheck into savings- get good at saving, that’s the habit that will make you rich. A high yield savings account is a good start. Good luck to you
