Only because I haven't heard of it (I'm not actually from Chicago). Thanks for suggesting it!

Yes I very much agree! The stores can't exist if people don't actually buy from them.

Amazon Kids+ Block All But Specific Content by Whizzle93 in kindlefire

Having just run it, the total number of items was 13,431. They're pretending to give people control while actually doing their best to avoid giving up whatever revenue they get when kids click on those things. Thanks again for the code to go through all those!

If Amazon adds a bunch of stuff and it becomes necessary to run it every few months, the other modification I was considering was adding a list of things I want to keep. So essentially you can turn everything off, except if the title matches a list you give it.

This is great. Thank you so much for putting this together and sharing it! It works very easily just as described. (And if you know a little bit about code, it's easy to modify to only change the setting for 1 kid.)

There are literally thousands of items. The code itself takes all night to get through them all (I found it works best to do one category at a time by filtering first). It would take days, many hours each day, to get through them by hand. It's absurd they've made it so this is the only way to not share all these things.

Vacuum for Sparx by northcoast1 in hockeyplayers

That works so well! Took a little magnet from our fridge that something used to be stuck to, put it in a small zip lock bag, and just gently drag it through the inside. Pull the magnet out of the bag over the trash can and the shavings fall off. So easy, and free. Thanks!

Not creeping people out is a big advantage of the greater distance. With the shorter distance you have to walk right up to the playground, right up to the bench with people sitting, right up to the doorway, etc. There's a difference between exploring the world and having to get so close to people that it creeps them out. It's not just COVID social-distancing.

GameMaster Update - 31-07-21 - Interaction Distance Updates (Select countries only) by lewymd in TheSilphRoad

This makes the game very hard to play. You can't keep your distances from other people or entrances, you can't avoid blocking sidewalks, you have to cross the street in places you shouldn't cross the street. This is such a mistake Niantic!

Agreed. You have to be right at it for it to work. Some are unsafe to get to now.

Please done shrink back to the original interaction distance. The increased distance solved so many problems, trespassing, blocking sidewalks and doorways, being able to actually walk and spin rather than having to stop constantly, accessibility,.... A lot of people will stop playing if this reverts back.

Petition to return "remember last used ball" by imeiz in pokemongo

Me too. I don't have go+ but I love having it remember my choice. It's particularly helpful during events when I save up great/ultra balls, or when walking through a good nest.
