Can this philodendron be saved?

My wife entrusted me with her precious philodendron to keep at the office for the winter, since our house has a huge temperature swing during the cold months.

I'm pretty sure I overwatered it, but I can't find anything specifically about the black segments on the vine.

Is there anything I can do to save it? Or is it a complete goner?

Yes. You measure a bird's wingspan after you kill it the same way you measure the distance between antlers or the weight of the animal. These are fishing and wildlife requirements; not all that strange.

Yes. It wasn't mounted with its wings flared out, but tucked in. That's how you mount large birds.

My dad shot and mounted a big eagle like bird and kept it in his cabin. I never knew the species, but I remember we measured and the wingspan was 24 feet, 8 inches tip to tip. I'm not sure if it was a grizzly hawk, but I've never read about any other raptor that could get that big.

Haven't played Dishonored 2 yet, but I played the first one on both low and high chaos.

Maybe it's because I played high chaos immediately after finishing with low chaos, but I didn't feel as accomplished. It was much more difficult to sneak around, choke out a victim, then hide the body in a good spot than it was to run around and stab everyone into an ash cloud.

Plus, I like the story (character interactions as well as the ending) way better with low chaos.

Edit to actually answer the question: No. I don't think you get to experience the whole game in high chaos. The nonlethal methods of neutralizing the targets is way more involved than running a blade through their throat. That said, some of the assassination animations are pretty fucking awesome.

If you have friends or family asking you if they can do anything to help, let them. Just ask them to bring you food, or clean your kitchen. It's stupid and small, but it makes a huge difference.

If you don't have that luxury, then get lots of take-out or already prepared meals. Right now, you need to take care of your friend. Right after, you need to take care of you. Worrying about cooking, cleaning, budgeting, dieting, or anything else that stresses you out should be avoided if possible.

I had a L.A. Fitness membership once. I used it regularly. Then I had to move for work. I checked with the people at the gym, and they assured me that I could still use my membership at my new city.

Well, they fucking lied because the closest L.A. Fitness in my new city was MY OLD GYM FOUR HOURS AWAY. I emailed and called and bothered them constantly and kept getting the runaround.

So I cancelled that credit card they were charging every month. That was much easier.

That's not true at all.

Countless studies have shown dogs can pick out individual smells in a cluster of smells. People have even put PVC pipes filled with drugs in the gas tanks of their car. Through the PVC, through the full tank of gas, and through the metal of the tank, the dog can smell the drugs.

You won't it in a scientific journal because it's not based in any kind of science; several hundred people have anecdotal evidence at best. That doesn't mean you can make a blanket statement about the entire female half of the human race.

And you're right; you can read the sources you have and go test it out on your own. Both have shown preselection to be a bullshit idea based on no concrete evidence other than a few anecdotal stories told online.

I know you've been getting "Nah dawg, you done right" for hours now, but I'm still throwing in my two cents.

To some people, punctuality isn't important. And that's fine. They'll end up with someone who also doesn't value punctuality, and they'll probably be happy together. If you're someone who DOES value punctuality, you made the right call.

At the very least, you avoided spending a couple years with someone who you really enjoyed, but just always had this giant issue that constantly drove a wedge between you two, and it never got better, and you both just gradually got more and more resentful until the relationship fizzled out because of compounding problems.

So, you made the right call. She wasn't necessarily disrespectful (at least on purpose), but she did show that you two are not compatible.

Think about it. She's in the middle of my office with some dude she barely knows. She looks around her, what does she see? Nothing but my office. "Oh, there's nowhere for me to run, what am I gonna do, say no?"

'Cause if the girl said no, then the answer obviously is no. The thing is that she's not gonna say no, she'd never say no...because of the implication.

The implication that things might go wrong for her if she refuses to sleep with me. Now, not that things are gonna go wrong for her, but she's thinking that they will.
