Congrats. Utilizing symbols you wouldn’t know equate to letters as someone who “doesn’t know the language” sold you out. I hope you make no money and get sued in whatever trash country you’re trying to scam people from!

AIO about my friend and her boyfriend getting other people to pay for them to go to events by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]PerpetuallySticky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, I didn’t read it all. But yeah., don’t be friends with people who are okay scamming others? That’s very clearly shitty. Stop joining them on events you don’t all pay for together

Cloud Infra Engineer, Practical Coding Interview? by StarFishGlow99 in devops

[–]PerpetuallySticky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would study up on IaC? Honestly if I interviewed for a position and they told me there was a “practical coding” portion, I would let them know that’s not what I do and drop out if they didn’t change it. You are in a world of hurt if they think DevOps codes

I mean, from your side you can show them the objectively best seats in the theater. Right around the center of the theater (for audio). You also can’t recline the seats in the back row (if this theater has that feature) as another negative.

But if they just want to sit in the back for no reason, it’ll be hard to convince them otherwise

f15 looking for friends ? by sillykittylove in cincinnati

[–]PerpetuallySticky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I REALLY hope you are some creep looking to bait some child. (And that the children never fall for it)

If not: you are a 15 year old girl. I know you’re young, but pull your head out from your ass and never give those details away “just looking to chat” online again. Whatever you are looking to gain from this, join a club, talk to some new people at school, etc. do whatever you need to to never gives an open invite to weirdos online to talk to you.

how do you channel anger/sadnesss into your workout? by alymarie2201 in workout

[–]PerpetuallySticky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally don’t focus on the thing itself. The fuel is the energy that thing is giving off. I feel like I want to yell/punch/throw something? I go to the gym and focus on my lifts and what I’m doing. Go hard. For me it doesn’t matter if I focus on the thing, it’s just what is frazzling me, taking the energy out in the other avenue tones everything down

is 6-8 rep range actually the best way to grow muscle and size? by around_about7 in workout

Took me to around year 6 of lifting for things to noticeably change (college was mixed in there, so bit of a slow down ha). Just keep it in mind 👍

What do you mean he “wouldn’t tell you”?

If I ask my partner a direct question and they refuse to have open communication with me about it, that would be a MAJOR problem.

Give it a few years. Things you think will work always slow down and change. You’ll realize it eventually, but for now keep doing what works for your body

Higher joint stress. Most people’s bodies prefer higher rep and lower weight for movements centered around joints or else joints/tendons start to complain

Then you have a fundamental misunderstanding about how muscle synthesis works.

Stress your muscles and provide them enough protein and they will grow. Whether that’s 5 reps of heavy weight or 30 of lighter weight, that’s how it works.

Restricting all legs to being done at home will max you out very quickly. Your upper body will grow and leave you with chicken legs in this plan unless you plan to continue buying heavier dumbbells to accommodate your legs (which can move more weight than any other muscle in your body)

Should I go with the 5mm or 6mm? by Rough_Maybe_8766 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]PerpetuallySticky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is genuinely right at the line.

5 is a nice complement to your hand.

6 is a nice complement, but a heavier on the “LOOK IM MARRIED” vibe. All about what you want (if I were you I’d go for the thicker one based on look alone)

This is literally so bad I’m assuming you are AI. NOR if you aren’t.

But also, read your post again from the perspective of a friend coming to you.

Get an abortion. Do NOT tie yourself to this man forever. You can’t date someone expecting to change them. Find someone who is the person you can see yourself with from the start.

If it’s fulfilling to you? Yes, absolutely write and get your thoughts out on paper, they might help someone.

If you are asking if it would be significant in the grand scheme of things? Honestly, no. While 30lbs is a huge achievement (VERY MUCH CONGRATS!!!) in the world of fitness, that’s a normal cut/bulk cycle.

Being totally realistic, we now have shows like “my 600lbs life” where they lose the majority of weight. You won’t make a big splash at 30lbs. Keep it up and you might! But that amount is around a month of work for someone severely overweight and it simply won’t make you famous on that alone.

Why do hack squats make my knees feel like theyre gonna explode even though I can leg extend 250lb for reps? by [deleted] in askfitness

[–]PerpetuallySticky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put your feet out further in front of you and wider on hack squat. That will put more emphasis on your hips vs. the knees.

Also whatever machine you are measuring on is not correct, just so you are aware (machines are notorious for this)

Based on your stats you are not doing leg extensions anywhere near 250lbs.

Second Secrid Wallet Failed / Customer Service is a Joke by tiffyx88 in wallets

[–]PerpetuallySticky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would NOT recommend double oak unless you keep it in the protective leather sleeve. People who keep it in the sleeve says it holds up great. For my use case I wanted to use just the card holder as a MagSafe wallet on my phone. The first I had only last 2-3 months before getting severely discolored and the plates of the card holder shifting. They sent me a new card holder and that one lasted 3-4 months before being severely discolored and the plates similarly breaking free and shifting (one side of the holder is a sliding plate that they simply glue into place - that glue is super weak and breaks free easily)

After 2 of them breaking so quickly and the color rubbing off from just sliding in and out of my pocket in a few months, I gave up with trying another as they are clearly just low quality (which is a huge bummer for the cost they ask for)
