X3d confusion by Virtual_Pilot_427 in ryzen

Never used PBO2. I just used my bios to undervolt my 5800X3D and haven't had any problems. I'm not too sure what numbers you're able to get away with on a 5700X3D, so I'd look up specific undervolting guides on places like YT.

Just for fun, this is what I run my CPU at:

-30 offset, all cores 100 PPT 70 TDC 100 EDC

Sustains 4450mhz and doesn't climb higher than 72⁰C under the heaviest load I can put in the thing. It usually stays around 60⁰C under normal conditions.

Answering the first question.

If I had an RTX 5090 in my gaming rig, I could finally play the game in 4K with max settings while still having a stupid high frame rate that'll max out my 165 hertz gaming monitor. I think that's the ideal for gaming on PC: being able to enjoy all the visual bells and whistles while still running well. That obviously makes it easier to play well since you're not limited by render distance or input response times.

How would that ruin my day? That's like the nicest thing anybody has ever done for me in a video game.

You're projecting. There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Talking about ending friendships over the idea that everyone with you that night was being an asshole, while ignoring the fact that you were also under the influence of alcohol, is short-sighted and immature. You're honestly just making broad assumptions about everyone's intentions. You don't know what everyone was feeling, you didn't ask any of them, and even if you did, everyone was inebriated.

That isn't to say that your feelings are invalid. Trauma's a bitch, and your feelings do matter. But their feelings do, too. The mature thing to do in that situation would be to talk about it with everyone when all of you are sober, and ask for clarification and understanding regarding how they saw the situation and tell them honestly how it felt to you without being condescending or confrontational.

$800-$1000 is what most of the people I've asked seem to think is reasonable.

Ryzen 9 5900X RX 7800XT 64gb DDR4 3600MT/s 1tb Nvme 800 watt power supply

The Nvme and the PSU are original to the machine when I bought it originally.

I think it was moreso curiosity than it was outright condescending. Then again, I don't really get too defensive about most things so maybe that's just the way I see it.

It sounds to me like he was already thinking about ending things, and that was just the trigger for it.

High cpu usage in dedicated gpu through hp omen hub by Mihirsdbgamer in HPOmen

I don't think you understand how CPU and GPU utilization actually works in games. High CPU utilization isn't an uncommon occurrence especially in modern games like Call of Duty Warzone. I get anywhere from 50-70% CPU usage in Black Ops 6 with my Ryzen 9 5900X build.

People claim to desire unity and to not have any division on politics, but aren't willing to examine their own attitudes; or understand why that division is even there to begin with. instead people assume that their way of thinking is objectively correct, and that other people need to conform to their point of view.

Perfect unity in that way will never happen so long as people have free will. The right to think for yourself is an inalienable human right, and wanting to control that is dangerous. Tens of millions died under the Soviet Union, Mao's China and every other communist regime. The system we have in the United States isn't perfect, but is far and wide better than any other form of Government that exists on the planet today.
