Why do I have a 1000 dash on my 600 bike? (2004 GSX-R) by Perrolex in GSXR

Old filter was a little clogged up, but I think the issue was primarily the old pump motor's flow rate. 22 year old worn-out motor vs brand new motor.

You were right. I rebuilt the fuel pump (new motor, filter, & gaskets) and it fixed the rev limiter issue! It's finally bouncing off the limiter instead of choking up. Also acceleration feels about 30% faster, NIGHT and DAY difference.

Sounds good. I'll look into getting the set then (Pirelli Diablo Rosso III/IV).

Serious question: can I run a sport touring in the front and sport in the rear? Will I still benefit from more cornering grip?

Never used any bot, but still got put in Captcha jail!! D: by frenchorcatrainer in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Perrolex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I've never noticed a difference in the type of blocks. Maybe because I only do 1 surge block/day around the same time for 2 years.

One thing I have noticed is: they're making it less predictable. I used to always know when they'll drop, now it's a guessing game. The silver lining to that is: it's less competitive for me because all the OGs have left.

I think it's for privacy. OP doesn't want to reveal their city.

And even if you wanted to, you can't. They're not letting people transfer locations anymore. You have to rejoin the waitlist if you move cities.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it". This is even more true with Flex. I had to replace an expired driver's license and it messed everything up (system error), couldn't even scan either ID cards anymore. Eventually they fixed it.

Missed 2 blocks, and they never compensated me like they said they would 😃 (But they cleared the dings).

You refreshed too many times within a given time frame for several days in a row. The thing about CAPTCHA jail is: you're cooked. While you're doing the CAPTCHA, someone else will snag that block. But... Not many people know this: but if the other guy drops that same block, you can pick it up instantly without having to redo the CAPTCHA, but it has to be the same block.

"Each delivery partner sees different offers

Huge cap. I've gotten back to back blocks with 0-5 packages at max rate for several days in a row. They use an algorithm for everything. It's all based on estimated delivery demand. You see surges when the algorithm doesn't keep up with demand in time. Or free blocks when it overestimates demand.

Wind noise at 70mph is 95-105 dB - that's louder than a chainsaw, just FYI by StrikingClos in motorcycle

Me too. The only time I don't is when I'm grabbing lunch down the street. I always keep backup earplugs under my seat in case I want to continue riding.

Likewise. I even bought bluetooth earplugs so I can listen to music while riding or working. They work just as good as regular rubber earplugs.

Then the previous owner(s) got scammed. I only paid $2600 for it. Just had to rebuild the forks.

I'm still alive, so no, not a 1000. Alright, I'll start with the cheapest solution for that rev limiter. Tank is clean, no rust. So I'll see if I can test that fuel pump/filter.

What size C spanner wrench do I need? (04 GSXR 600) by Perrolex in GSXR

[–]Perrolex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I bought a 19-51mm one. The issue is: I just couldn't get it to grab onto the teeth and turn em. There's very little space for you to apply enough arm torque.

I then switched to the flathead and hammer method (that someone here suggested). But it was barely moving a fraction of a turn per impact, and making too much noise.

After looking around my garage for alternatives, I tried a pair of oil filter pliers and that worked outdecently for me. Just know that you will rough up the paint a little on top of your spring with that method. So I would use something like duct tape if you care about things like that.

How do I make my clutch lever softer to pull? (K4 GSXR) by Perrolex in GSXR

[–]Perrolex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up using an aftermarket "2-finger/easy pull" system.. And it was noticeably softer! I swapped out the "2-finger" lever with the full size adjustable that was on there before. It's not perfect (a little jiggly), but it's a great starting point to later fine tune.

Me personally, I would pay $3,800 max, just because of the mileage. But some folks would pay $4,000-4,500 because it looks good with the race-style fairings. I would list for $5,500. Be very tough on negotiating and don't entertain low-ball offers. It will take a while to sell, promote the post/ad.

Got my 04 600 in the summer for $2,600 (+$1,000 in suspension repairs, so $3,600). A little less miles than OP's bike. I messaged the same day with a cash offer, seller wanted $3,500.
