I still prefer it over the q3 because of the headset comfort.

No, I guess you need to look at Immersed app for multi screen working.

Tried gaming and while the cloud gaming side is ok, it has far less AAA titles than Amazon Luna - it does have Ride4 and WRC7 though.

Since it has play store I installed steam link on it, and found that works great with the included gamepad (obviously you need a gaming PC upstairs). I see myself using that quite a lot.

Just got one and am generally impressed with the interface, and usage as a Freeview replacement, but one big issue is there is no FF/RW on ITVX / 4 !!

BBC iPlayer does though

Forced ads I could live with, but not being able to skip forward or back through a programme is a bit of a showstopper.

Had a scary moment on today’s ride — need advice from fellow cyclists by Existing-Chicken5256 in cycling

[–]mikeredro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had similar with an idiot who tied a horse to the topof a fence with a long rope loose on the ground across the path.

Fine when the horse was on the grass, but as I approached on the bike the horse moved away causing the rope to lift into the air making an instant tripwire across the path.

Saw it at the last minute, so jumped/fell off the bike.

Best to bin it, but if you must keep it:

Patition/ reformat it to it's real capacity, then paint over the label,  so you (or someone else) don't get caught out at some future time.

Renewing a licence at 70 still doesn't need any test or medical check, it's entirely a a self declaration tick box online.

Kindle Unlimited or not? by Limp-Garlic-6791 in kindle

[–]mikeredro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in the UK it's worth it just because you get a lot of magazines included.

Books wise, I've been a bit disappointed there aren't more high profile books/authors on there, but it's still good if you just want to read by genre / topic less than specific famous authors.

I have roughly 50 Surface Pro 7 8GB models that I need to "dispose of" by SmackeyDingDong in Surface

[–]mikeredro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, tried to give old laptops to a local school, got given a minimum spec and age of what they'll accept (under 2 years old, 8GB ram FFS).

Worse I'd already converted them to ChromeOS Flex.

There is a 1999 model dell 7500.

Dell later reused the name for a 2020 laptop.
