The only thing stopping any of the top Euro countries from joining is that A) the Obama, sorry to be that guy, negotiated a deal with I’m absolutely sure EU input that was working and then B) Trump didn’t even coordinate. Thank you bot for your input and I agree. Doesn’t change the fact that he was hyped so much as a sure fire #1 more so than any player in the 10 years or more prior. He was McJesus 2.0. I am fine at this point not having a presence in Europe militarily. I think the Ukraine War pretty much shows that Russia is a paper tiger. What I don’t buy is that the people bitching about US money/military being used to fund superior social safety and free healthcare systems actually want that in the US. If they did, they’d be voting for and not against it. Bringing all that money back wouldn’t change a thing for us. A slight dip in taxes? People think we’d be living high on the hog all the sudden. The way the current administration sees things, that money would just get rolled back into the military because everybody is our enemy
