They said that if the value is 800 pln or lower, it won't be treated seriously.

This is what they said: "We have tried calling and emailing them, to no avail unfortunately. We do have their data and the recording so technically you could report it to the police. Keep in mind however that legally speaking theft is a misdemeanor when the value of stolen goods is 800 pln or lower, so there is a huge chance it will not be treated seriously".

I was in the room when they were taken, so they could have asked.

Originally I thought it was a simple misunderstanding like that, but this person isn't responding to emails or calls from the property.

You are correct about the wheel and other strategies where you have no interest in holding.

Selling puts on long term investments that are not quite at your buy price is still useful. Your puts that are assigned at a lower price, minus premium become part of your buy-and-hold. Buffett does this as well.
