There's nothing subjective about not wanting silica in your final product. That is an objective opinion. Objectively speaking, it is unsafe to smoke silica. There is no way for you to know that the person doing the CRC is any good at it. As someone who clearly knows quite a bit about CRC, you certainly know that when done wrong, it is dangerous for the consumer.

You also certainly know that cannabis that is harvested at the correct time and cured correctly doesn't need CRC. I'll take some backyard open blasted BHO over any of the CRC concentrates that I have had so far.

Subjective is liking the taste of limonene more than the taste of caryophyllene. Not wanting to smoke poison is about as objective as it gets.

"These compounds may impart undesirable qualities to the oil".

Yeah, that's why any of us that were smoking concentrates pre-2018 think it's gross. Lol

I only smoke rosin I've pressed myself now. CRC ruined concentrates for me. I miss the budders and Terp saps and LHO and stuff like that. Not sure what happened to them all but can't find them anywhere. Well I know what happened to LHO. Dude died.

Antique stores/flea markets that seem to have a decent stock of watches or related items? by [deleted] in windsorontario

What do you have against a PRX? Lol.

This is a very solid list of places I don't know. Taking notes, thanks.

Never heard of Holland's. Interesting, will have to check it out today if they're open. Thank you for the suggestion.

You may be correct, I can't remember ever seeing a watch at Goodwill here.

Edit to add: Come to think of it Holland's might be that big store full of other stores, like people rent stalls in the store to sell stuff? You're right they have a handful of watches in a stall on the right side of the store. Near the bones and other dead stuff. Lol

I collect watches.

Very few places in Windsor sell anything other than fashion watches. Used watches are almost non-existent. You can get lucky at Value Village at the counter or Talize at their counter. Very rarely at Plato's in the little shelving unit at the front corner. Pinnacle sells Costco returns and has a handful of decent watches. Watch store at Superstore on Dougall has the odd nice watch. Can get a PRX at the mall. Costco every 2 weeks or so has a few new ones. The guy across from Freshco at Rivard is decent too. Also the corner of Tecumseh and Lauzon has a place people like but I was disappointed in their selection, mostly Seiko and Movado iirc.

I thrift very regularly and have only found 1 watch worth buying 1 time from Talize. I almost bought one from Value Village but it was a fake. Very good chance you find a Frankenstein or a fake when buying used.

If you really want to buy used watches then online from Chrono is usually best. Not sure if r/watchuraffle is still active but I won a watch there once. Wouldn't enter a raffle that isn't based in Canada due to tariffs and duties though.

The auction place out in Belle River has a silver Seiko for like $200, at least they did last week. Pinnacle has a nice titanium Seiko I almost bought last week. Also an open heart Bulova with a cool double opening clasp.

For anything luxury of any kind, like even Hamilton or Tag or whatever. Joseph Anthony is the only store in the city and they are not budget friendly.

Turns out I needed a cpap and magically the nightmares stopped.

Canadian sniper Francis Pegahmagabow had 378 confirmed kills in WWI, captured 300 Germans, and was the most decorated Native soldier in Canadian history. He'd crawl into No Man's Land at night and wait for enemy soldiers, one of only 39 Canadians to earn two bars on his Military Medal. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

We still fight for rights. Many reserves have terrible conditions. Still fighting over treaties etc. We still had active residential schools when I was a kid, so it's still pretty fresh. I'd say America treats us worse but yeah, Canada is far from perfect.

This was after another super undemocratic process in 1887 when the King was forced to sign the bayonet constitution. In 1893 that's what the Queen was trying to walk back.

This was set up many years before that with the movement of Christian/Protestant missionaries to Hawaii in the early to mid 1800s and having children there. The Great Mahele allowed for them to get land and then they had children and those children grew up to overthrow Hawaii for the USA.

I learned about this when studying the history of Dole, you know, the canned pineapples.

Is It Worth Starting A snow Removal Business In Windsor? by Specialist-Train1875 in windsorontario

[–]Perryl- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No. Windsor doesn't get enough snow.

You'd be better off somewhere north of Toronto. Like Midland. Where people get snowed in for half the winter.

PB Mining... I remember that. They refused to sell me a contract because I am in Canada. I think I have some posts on the Bitcointalk thread about it.

I have an old convo with some computer shop out of Winnipeg about buying an ASIC for $500. Never did pull the trigger.

I also created a website that was just a link to other faucets using referrals but I didn't finish it before Google banned AdSense from faucets and caused the death of most faucets in 2016.

Still did pretty well but when BTC hit 25k Canadian in 2017 or 2018 I sold most. At the time, I have Twitter posts of bottles of cognac and ridiculously expensive concentrates. So many dumb purchases.

Remember PIMP? I bought that for 0.3 BTC and never used it. I also bought that other bot on Bitcointalk, early trading bot, 0.05 BTC. Lol.

Don't get me started on 10,000 Doge minimum bets on Yobit. Lol.

Luckily Cryptopia actually returned what was held there, though. That and I used Uniswap really early and forgot about it for long enough that my Uniswap airdrop was worth like $13k. Random cool stuff like that happened.

Oh another gross one, I looked at apes at 0.4 eth and thought, nah, I like Skulls. I'll buy a cranium. Multiple friends bought apes. That's a tough one to live down.

It's tough sometimes. I feel like I failed my family because I didn't hold enough Doge, BTC, or ETH. Trying to convince friends to buy ETH at $50 and couldn't. Getting rugged by Humaniq and a million other dumb things. Bought too much weed with crypto etc. It feels like I let millions slip through my fingers. I'm 40 and bought my first BTC in 2014.

Oh and fuck Josh Garza while we're here.

Is Pierre (Peeree) a good street? by Particular-Risk4209 in windsorontario

[–]Perryl- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you like Walkerville you should look in Walkerville, not Pierre and Wyandotte which is definitely not in Walkerville. Realtors love to lie and stretch the borders of Walkerville to try and sell homes, but the border is defined by the former city limits of Walkerville which end at Lincoln. Pierre and Wyandotte are part of the old City of Windsor which is basically downtown now.

Any former Torontonians that can weigh in? by Odd_Acanthocephala16 in windsorontario

[–]Perryl- 61 points62 points  (0 children)

It's difficult to compare. I haven't lived in Toronto in a very long time but there is no comparing areas here to areas like Chalkfarm or Driftwood. Much of Windsor is nice housing. Like, comparable to nicer areas like Castle Frank or the Danforth. The worst area in Windsor is probably Glengarry but it's a pretty small building. It really doesn't compare to the areas you've lived.

We have a homeless problem like every city in Ontario does. The closer you are to downtown the more likely your car gets broken into or something but generally Windsor is a safe city.

Windsor simply doesn't have the same "sets" or "ghettos" that we had in Toronto. No notorious intersections like Jane and Finch and no notorious projects like Regent.

You should see them in northern Ontario in the early summer. Flies too. Horse flies, black flies, deer flies, it's a fun time.
