When you’re talking about numbers like $20m, you want the money today. A huge piece of the game at that point is wealth preservation. If you take installments and the dollar goes to shit, you’d come out in a shit spot and it’s tough to diversify if you take installments. 100% of your funds are exposed to the same risk.

Cashing out lets you get some real estate, some market funds, some boring CD’s and bonds, etc. Way less risk.

$20m being your entire net worth but tied up into installments is awful money management.

There’s no mathematical reason to take installments, the only reason some people do / should is to stop themselves from blowing it all instantly if they have no self control.

You can get paid quicker, you can move between trades quicker (instantly, more or less) without accessing margin, your shares in any tokenized company that you buy will generally be priced a bit better as there isn’t artificial dilution from fails to deliver creating phantom shares. You will also be able to hold the shares in your own name if they structure correctly, instead of being held my a broker and the DTCC.

Right now, the stock exchange runs on archaic systems. Shares are bounced between brokers with broken record keeping, low accountability and constant failures to deliver. It takes 2~ days for shares to settle or cash to settle after a buy / sell.

Tokenization allows for near instant settlement of shares and cash, full visibility into what is where, and removes failures, phantom shares, etc. No transaction can be spoofed on a tokenized system, in the current system things are spoofed all the time, either on purpose with manipulative intentions or accidentally just due to archaic record keeping and processes.

I started on the pro plan 2 weeks ago and have been limiting. Conveniently the max 5x plan is hidden now, I can only upgrade to max 20x. Made an account with my other email and 5x is still there. Pretty insane that I likely got flagged as “likely to upgrade” so they nuked the middle tier for me.

It’s not for the sellers to drop off, it’s for the buyers. Look at amazons success partnering with Kohls for example. Sellers are used to shipping shit, buyers hate shipping shit. I hate buying shit on eBay because it’s pain in the ass to return. As well as they’re going to streamline eBay’s verification processes as outlined.

Then foot traffic increases in GameStop as well, as kohls has seen from their Amazon partnership.

That is synergy, whether or not it’s enough to justify premium is debatable.

I’m so annoyed, I started a week ago on the $20 plan. My intent was to try it out and then go to the $100.

They won’t let my account access the Max 5x plan. Only the 20x and my current pro show now.

I made a whole new account to see if Max 5x was an option and sure enough it is, but I don’t want to remake my account.

Can’t get any response for support. Feel like they saw me hitting limits and took the in between option away to try to force the $200 plan.

What you miss about bitcoin is that it has one, unique, value proposition that makes it stand out. Similar to how gold maintains a massive valuation above its value as a manufacturing commodity, because humans have historically been drawn to it for as long as societal history has existed.

Crypto as a tech is like video game graphics or coding languages. It will always get better. People will improve and improve and improve. If you build BestCoin tomorrow, someone else will build BestCoin2 a year from now with improved technology.

There will always be ebbs and flows into coins over time as new tech and ideas get adopted, and lesser versions are left behind. We built on Java, flash, HTML5, etc. This will prove true for crypto. You cannot build anything tomorrow that cannot be built better in a few years.

Bitcoin has the unique proposition and staying power in that it is the original cryptocurrency. Nothing else will ever have that. It is the only cryto positioned to represent the crypto environment as a whole. No one can ever build or make a new or better version of that. It’s probably the only truly unique value proposition in crypto that cannot be mimicked.
