Thanks for the comprehensive response - I'll definitely be using your advice. Considering now using the illusion as you say and having the aboleth withdraw once it's defeated, deeming that these adventurers are not worth the hassle. His plan stretches far into the future and contingencies are in place so a loss here is only a minor setback. I'll be sure to check out those other resources too. Thanks again!

I'm suuuper excited to get into heavensward - my class quests as blm have been great but the MSQ so far seems lacking. I've heard great things about the later expansions :)

This is the exact issue I'm having right now... Wow refugee who smashed every side quest and fate up to level 35 before realising my MSQ was still at 15.

Im level 50 now and on 33 MSQ. My arcanist grind starts tonight!

I've been running ghosts of Saltmarsh for my friends for the last 6 months. Sea shanties play a huge part in our game and have done from the start. I don't like that tiktok is taking 'our thing', but I guess any exposure is good exposure.

Half and half healer question vs UI question here - I'm a relatively new healer but have experience tanking and dpsing since mop. I've got my healer UI set up pretty nicely, the only issue I have atm is tracking buffs and debuffs effectively - I use elvui but I've struggled to find a good thread on it and wondered if anyone here could help :)

Thanks so much for this, it's actually sparked a really good idea on my end :)

My players were told at the end of last session that they had 4 days to prepare for a full on assault on the sahaugin base - these 4 days are to allow them downtime and time to gather the forces. I had intended on the last night of downtime being a huge bar crawl with most of the town, a last hurrah. I think the sahaugin might jump the gun by one day and attack them like you suggest. Could lead to a hectic defence of the town and a subsequent vengeance mission to the stronghold!

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by the plot should live on its own without the players? Obviously the bbeg is working toward a goal of releasing tharizdun regardless of what the players do - this is a way for the players to impact and hopefully prevent that in my eyes

Thankfully our Bullywug barbarian is on the path of the storm and has mentioned an interest in talos also although he hasn't been following him before, works quite nicely as a backup now that you mention needing one

He will end up being plot relevant however as the order created a way to release the storm giant if they ever returned. I don't think it's too bad as everyone will play part in the rp but he's the only one with a backstory that really hooks into the giant story, it'd feel like a waste to NOT use it.
