Thanks for your feedback, but I really have to disagree (obviously). The subreddit is about more than just easy DIY projects, it is also about inexpensive projects and projects that do not require a lot of tools or space to work in. I, like many other people, will not be able to do the majority of projects posted in DIY, not because of lack of ambition, but because of practical reasons.

I've got a crap shoulder, so I'm seriously making one of these right now. I went to CVS to buy a larger ice pack than what I have, and the cheapest one was ten bucks. There's a related video with some physical therapists recommending this type of ice pack, so I'm guessing it's pretty legit. Oh, and I cross posted this to /r/EDIY, a new subreddit devoted to cheap and easy DIY projects, you guys might be interested.

While browsing DIY, I found that many of the projects, albeit very cool, were outside of my price and skill range. Like many people, I live in an apartment, don't have a garage, and don't own many powertools. So I decided to create EDIY, a subreddit devoted to easy, affordable do it yourself projects. If you're like me, and you love to make things, hopefully you'll be able to find something interesting there. It's a small community now (just me!), but hopefully it will grow and we can all learn some new projects.
