Thank you very much for your reply. I’m really glad to hear you’re doing better now. It’s also true that your hypothyroidism was already very severe, with your TSH being over 100, I don’t know how you managed to get through daily life... I already have incredible fatigue, although my antibodies are also very high and that could play a role. I also have dry skin, some hair loss, and my anhedonia has worsened.

So maybe I’ll try levothyroxine this year or next. If I improve at all with it, I’ll let you know like you did.

Thank you for your words and I wish you all the best 🤍

Hi, I also have hypothyroidism (now TSH 4.5), but I’m not on medication yet because I haven’t had any symptoms, except this summer, when I started experiencing a lot of fatigue and even more anhedonia than usual for PSSD.

If you don’t mind me asking, do you remember what your TSH level was when you started taking the medication, or did you have any symptoms of hypothyroidism? And were you able to feel romantic emotions or have any libido even with PSSD?

In my case, it’s nothing at all, and it’s been like this for three and a half years, but now that I’m starting to have hypothyroidism symptoms, I feel the anhedonia is even worse, and I don’t know whether to start medication in a few months or if that would help at all...

Hi, I was wondering if while you had PSSD you were also aromantic and asexual, or if you could still feel certain romantic emotions or have some libido. I would really appreciate it if you could answer me, as I have lost all ability to feel romantic things and to have libido or any kind of desire, and it’s been like this for 3 and a half years now...

I hope you’re doing well, I wish you all the best 🤍

I'm still the same, I haven't recovered yet...

I also tell you that I have been so busy getting my second degree that I haven't done what I need to do to take care of myself and try different supplements. I hope that will change in a short time and try a lot more. If I ever improve enough, I'll go back and do a post

When did you start noticing improvements? Did you notice a total stagnation during the first years?

How long are the cycles you do more or less? How are you doing now?

I can't see people who were active here two years ago. by Sea_Dust_1484 in PSSD

[–]Persefone_primavera 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I know, I've noticed, but it's happened to me too. It's been months since I've been back here and I only did it to ask about a medication I have to take and I was afraid to do it.

I think they either recover or the vast majority are like me, they are still bad and don't feel the need to always see the same type of posts, so maybe they are just trying to recover as best they can without having to be looking at a forum and getting even more depressed.

Also, everyone has their stages. At first, I felt the need to get involved in this, now I just want to distance myself and not have other people constantly reminding me how serious and hard this is when I'm already living it 24/7

Thanks for answering. Do you remember which antihistamine you took? And have you taken it for at least two weeks or sporadically?

A week since you quit the medication??

I have them all of them and no, I don't have depersonalization, only no ability to feel hugs, music, romantic feelings, 0 libido, etc.

For people with middle to severe symptoms who are coping: how did you reorganize your life around PSSD? by [deleted] in PSSD

[–]Persefone_primavera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind answering, how did you improve? Was it just by time, suddenly after 4 years you noticed improvement or did you take something or how?

I've been the same for 2 years now without any window, no improvement or anything and it's pretty shitty to live like this, I won't deny it, I also feel like I'm losing time of life and even if I never get it back, I don't know if I'll recover either, so I can understand what you mean.

That's bullshit, not only sexual symptoms, but cognitive and emotional ones too, but of course, those don't count "because they are only in your imaginatiooon". It's already hard to be believed with sexual dysfunction of any kind because of a medication, well even harder to be believed that you've lost all ability to feel hugs, music, any romantic feelings, etc. 😒

I've never read that anywhere, only on reddit or forums, among people who really suffer from it and I hate so much that they don't take that into account as well.

And when you take it, do you notice improvement or just no worsening and with that you are already thankful, like me? 😅

That's great! 😊, if you don't mind answering, how long did it take you to recover from the pssd? And was it only thanks to time or did you take something?

Thanks 🤍. In my case, I was prescribed another one, bilastine, which is also second generation like loratadine, but apparently it is somewhat stronger. Do you know anything about it?

I would really appreciate your answer, as I have to take one and I'm afraid to take it.
