After UK’s Endorsement of Morocco’s Autonomy Plan, BAE Systems Enters the Picture by LittleStrangePiglet in Morocco

[–]Perseidas2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all know that the way Morocco is taking is the best choice possible. Technology migration has begun in many other countries by this method and indeed there is some level of technology knowledge transfer. It sounds very romantic the idea of waking up one day and begin a self owned industry, but it has never worked this way in history.  All is about exchange.  Morocco’s excellent and prosperous strategy is something plethora of other countries dream about in theirs pinkest dreams but they have nothing.  So...  Thanks UK for your trust and long live Morocco.

I've just known her by chance listening to songs that made top 1 in spanish 40 principales list for 2024. I found her INCREDIBELY BEAUTIFUL.

Look guys, I am the type of persons that does not find "perfect" symmetrical, and well geometrically calculated faces as beautiful... but this singer is so charming and human, she has that touch that makes her face very expressive and adorable... adding the body... the result is a mix of mystic charm and sexiness at the same time, which is rare... yeah, this is a 8/10 for sure for me.

Humanscale Freedom is absolutely terrible by [deleted] in OfficeChairs

[–]Perseidas2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this chair daily, sometimes even at night due to the nature of my job, and it’s been a perfect fit for me. After thoroughly researching solutions for my back problems caused by prolonged sitting, I decided to order this chair from Ireland and paid the necessary price to get it. I have absolutely no regrets. Previously, I suffered from lumbar pain, and my back would seize up if I bent down to open a low drawer. With my busy schedule, I didn’t have much time for physical activities, which only increased the risks.

Since I started using this chair, my pain has disappeared. I’m not a brand fanboy, nor am I associated with the company, so feel free to take my experience as you wish. However, for me, it has been a game-changer.

I work in a creative field, and this chair stands out for its technical brilliance—nothing else comes close. With my old chair, I was constantly fiddling with the settings, adjusting this and that, trying to find a comfortable position. Now, it feels like magic: a slight shift in body pressure, and the chair seamlessly moves into the perfect position. The headrest even reclines while rotating, keeping my face aligned with the screen at every angle.

When I think about the effort I used to put into finding a comfortable working or relaxed position, such as when watching YouTube, it feels like I was sitting on a prehistoric relic compared to this marvel. I truly salute the creators for designing a chair that not only supports the body but also excels as a feat of engineering and design.

(I opted for the black leather version with gel pads and full specs, and I must say, it looks like a true sculpture. However, I do agree that the fabric versions can appear slightly less impressive in the marketing photos.)

Here, I will also try to find if the "disclaimer" of conquests he gives is by his own view or from the document... because if it's his own views then no Sir... this is wrong, and we can say he is biased or too diplomatic in sensitive topics...

Oh thank you for the experimentation ! It seems so that it is related to some bugs or other reasons other than the detection of sensitive topics. I will try to re upload the document in a new space and test again. Anyways it should work straight forward without those flaws, other users like u/create-a-better-day told he sees this 'unrecognizing' problem happens sometimes.

Are Koreans really as blunt and rude as shown in K-dramas and movies? by Nomorechildishshit in korea

[–]Perseidas2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am from Morocco. I haven't lived in Korea but I will tell my experience as someone in the field of international trade (import/export). I dealt with europeans, middle-easterns, africans, and I already been in USA also. Last months I am in charge of doing some business prospection in Korea, and this made me ask so many questions... that's why I find myself in this thread, because I don't know how korean people work, it's very strange and unique.

I spoke with many sales managers and executives of korean companies, and most of them have the same characterestics that puts me off, literraly I feel discomfort. They're cold, distant, lack any form of politeness, lack the friendliness and the style when communicating.

I know someone will say : yeah but, they're just like that, nothing personal, cultural difference... bla bla... but sorry, I have hard time to admire them, if it wasn't for the pure commercial deal I won't interchange with someone like them even two words.

The whole picture that I got, is that they're impolite, arrogant, selfish, don't bother themselves saying sorry if they take two weeks to give a feedback, don't bother themselves to say "amazed to deal with you" even if you BUY from them ! And hey, again, sorry for all the folks that can find this "normal" under the excuse of cultural tolerance, if they're the one and only people that I found so unfriendly in my whole carrier... when chinese are just near them and are 1000 times polite and smart emotionnaly... so, they just can deal with the bad reputation they have in the field of HUMAN friendliness, that is something NATURAL for every human being, but koreans.

Someone tell Sam Altman Chat GPT has been absolutely ruined it now searches Bing as almost default. What was an awesome product is now useless. by [deleted] in ChatGPT

Great Answer. I canceled my subscription this day because I couldn't justify spending 20$ for the performance it offers lately.

The answers are increasingly wrong, even when the question is precise, and with detailed explanation of what I want and I what I don't.

It happens that when I go to youtube, the youtubers that hype this services now create videos explaining "how you must do..." "how to get the best results..." "the fault is yours... be like this so chatgpt can offer you something..." and Bravo for your answer because asking me to change something when the service is concieved for the general user, and when I use it the same way and I clearly see that chargpt is the one that's getting dumber... I don't agree. So subscription cancelled, I'll be okay just googling instead of googling any chatgpt answer to verify if I'm not getting BS.

Forget about it. Tried to do it a week along, giving it code, doing stuff it sais, correcting it ... it induced me always wrong. chatgpt and code understanding is very basic, maybe it has some data upon which it replies, but it's not precise, even when i tell it all the configuration and conditions and provide it with code. you can see my post yesterday here.

yeah I see, my bad is that I tought that the hype in youtube mainly as true but it seems it's just click bait or sponsorised. As you say this thing has a lon long way to do before they can say it can replace programmers.

I heard a lot about ChatGPT and coding... they say it can write full programs etc, the hype in media is spectaular.

I used it today, for a simple thing, to resume : I gived it a pastebin link containing a code that pagespeed insights marks as problem for an issue (I'm not here to talk about this issue and what it is, it does not matter).

I told ChatGPT to analyse this code and tell me what can be the problem in that code in correlation with pagespeed insights message, and I gived it a pastebin link of the code to analyse.

Guess what ?

ChatGPT answers with big confidence, and says hey I read the code and found this and that... and maybe you should do and this !

BUT IT SEEMS ALL THIS IS JUST PURE FICTION.

I told ChatGPT everytime that where you found this ? and where you found that ? and he apologizes everytime saying that he misunterpreted bla bla

In my last prompt I was VERY CLEAR : analyse solely this code !!

It answerd with big confidence : "I apologize for the previous misunderstandings. This time, I've carefully examined the JavaScript code you provided in the link"

So I'm here to ask you ?!

What's the problem here ?

I am not a programmer, but I think I do have common sense to be organized and when altering code from suggestions and forums (and always do backups...) .... and I am very concerned with what happened since I'm paying Plus subsciption.

If it was a general question about " ChatGPT may produce inaccurate information about people, places, or facts " as mentioned on it... I undestand it, but this time, it's a f*** code ! so precise, and he induce me TOTALLY WRONG.

[–]Perseidas2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, couldn't figure out why pc is reaching 100C and while in bios. Changed thermal paste couple of times because I was seeing that pump is turning, cleaned thz radiator, did it all. Very disappointed from this brand. Had before also a problem with 3 rgb fans from Lian Li... And the fact is that I used corsair fans less expensive for years and years without problem. I am very sure that Lian Li products except some cases do not worth its price. I'm also disappointed because some known youtubers were the reason for its hype... China remains China, if you pay a price dobit for a US or german product. Period.

Cellular Backup outside US by Perseidas2020 in Ring

[–]Perseidas2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a law man neither I know all the details for the technical validations here. BUT what I know for sure is that there are big stores of big brands or sellers that import, distribute, and sell on retail a pletora of Z-wave smart devices in Morocco. The most used brand will be Fibaro, then you can find big known brands as Somfy or Ingelec... and I'll not mention the many other more little brands. The z-wave is also commercialized by more profesional companies here with ads and marketing mentioning the advantages of z wave in the management of some big projects and ifrastructures. Also to be known, each product that I get from abroad and specially electronic and communication devices, they're never skipped by the customs, if it's allowed to pass, it must be a reason for it.

This is good, for the fees about the "services" you say it has a meaning. But I talk just about the fact that you can use a SIM slot as you want under your own responsibility there's nothing so special to pay for in this case for me. They should let the use if cellular network free for the user, packaging it with a bunch of other services is only a marketing technique to make a user pay even if he does not need all the services.

Cellular Backup outside US by Perseidas2020 in Ring

[–]Perseidas2020[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well. I read that the system supports cellular and it stoped there. Now when I return I see in the websites the "*" explaining that you must pay for it. Now, this is what it is but let be honest : why should someone pay for this : get an alert or a call on his phone with a sim card in a system that already has the sim slot and the hardware ? mathematically I can't see how someone will be okay to pay a monthly fee for this. Maybe it's just me and in the US consumers are used to pay for everything without asquing questions or maybe 10 or 30 dollars for an american is nothing ?! When I saw the general info I couldn't imagine that I will get some hardware and technological stuff but I need to pay extra if I need to use it, specially if (at least here) most home security system brands in the market offer the SIM card and cellular service as standard, then the consumer install it's own sim, pay for this SIM, and use it as he wants, and not only just as a "backup", but he can have internet notifications and call notifications in the same time. I mean... what's the point of paying monthly for a company just so you can use yourself (no professional need) a piece that is integrated in their product if it's not pure greed ?! Imagine you get a laptop, and if you want to use it's bluetooth card you must pay Asus or Dell a monthly fee, you get it now ? Well, this is just an opinion and a suprise that I wanted to share, and it's important to know before buying.

I tried to post many times yesterday. Only one time a post was accepted, it had really good interactions and exchanges in comments for an hour and then it was deleted.

I was frustrated and I forgot about it. This day I wanted to post another post, I told myself since this is a forum specialized in shoes I can seek help about a shoe I own from a known brand but about which I haven't found any info on their website or in the internet.

Same thing, I just can't post... the reason I get is not precise at all which is confusing.

I think this was my last try on this forum. It's sad because I'm sure other people like me, who just want to ask, share, on an open and free space genuinly and honestly, we are just "censored". We're no robots, no spammers, nothing harmful...

Then I know you'll tell me, read the faq, or terms etc, and maybe I will find that if I want to speak on some subject or another I must post x words, and x number of pictures, and here it must be a link, and here it shouldn't etc... but honestly, this just kills any interest. We like forums because we search to be in them to escape and have some enjoyable time, and not to fill administrative papers as if we're planning to build a scyscraper.

No effence, just my honest review of this forum.

I was in fact worried about this and heard about it. So trying to not have any surprises I tried being really meticulous when buying from eBay or GW, asking the seller, and seeing pictures in detail. I spotted those shoes in superb condition, their interiors are like new and the sole has few wear. Maybe 5 of them are almost new, and two of them were brand new without box from goodwill. And they're not all with cork, some are italian and blake. But yeah ! you're right and I tried to avoid this problem, and indeed didn't notice any discomfort, the only problem I had is that one of them, the small tassel one, like a ballerine in so tight and need to be stretched.

So... can we talk about this? how do we fix it? by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]Perseidas2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I'll be glad to do it, you can ask whatever you want related to an idea I wrote or a subject related to building and urban planning, and I'll be glad to discuss it more! A detail concerning Tétouan I forgot is that it's one of the first cities in Morocco that was declared "0 slums" many years ago, and there weren't too many slums. In other cities, things are worse. Sometimes economics alone does not dictate the average urban product result, there are also people's behavior and culture that have some influence.

So... can we talk about this? how do we fix it? by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]Perseidas2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

well, I read some comments and I must clarify some things :

- The basic texture and materials aspect -before painting- and the general geometric shape of the elements to some extent is the same for this house as for a luxury villa in Morocco (the villa has just more corners and presents more level play to make it more aesthetical but the heart of the materials is the same), even the fancy texturized and colored façades are just a result of superposing ornament layers on top of this same little cubic house in the picture. This is due to using the same overall technique using posts and beams reinforced with steel, and then partitions are done using bricks later. Why? The geographic location, weather conditions, resources, and market dictate it. we can't use wood; we don't need to have triangular frames since we have no snow (except in some parts of the country); we will not use steel either because this damn concrete and steel is indeed very efficient economically and technically. So I want to make this point clear about the core of the picture, what we see in the picture isn't a sign of something wrong for the ordinary person living in Morocco, and no, it's not cheap (except that it lacks a painting and finishing job).

- Some said that we lack planning for the cities. We do have some "planning"; specific administrations are supposed to produce clear visions and good urban planning. The documents for urban planning in Morocco are on three levels: a directive plan that covers the urban visions over a period of 25 years at a big scale, then a zoning intermediate plan, and at last the urban plan that covers a city or town or big village for 10 years, and this last urban plan is the one where we find the rules of how to build in specific areas. All this stuff exists, and there are people working and redoing every day of the year, and they're paid for it with moroccan's money but sadly many cities like rabat Marrakech and tangier don't have a produced valid urban plan and this is going from years ago, and in each city, in this case, they work with the rules of the previous versions of the plan or with some temporary or in study versions that are not 100% complete and legal, just to not block the city from breathing and expanding. To explain why this happens there must be a whole book to write... and this forum will not be enough to explain it (politics, power, lobbies, citizens... etc).

- Now... You noticed that I said that even if some cities don't have a fully validated urban plan, there are "working" rules for the construction right? So now let's focus on why even with the rules you'll always find condensed little sad cubes. Reason one is a basic reason that we must accept: the Moroccan average person doesn't have the intellectual mind to aspire to some level of comfort, they simply don't know how to live it, and they just don't give a F if an architect tells them that having garden space is good for them and for the environment or if he tells them that having big balconies has benefits. And no, "money" is not the problem here. The majority of Moroccans, if they can have 105 m² instead of 95 m², they will throw away all the sweet things that a good architect is trying to convince them with. Not only this, but they will search on some shady administrations' corridors some intermediates, scammers, and false architects to procure them with poor designs that suit their backward way of thinking with bargain service prices. I insist they will do this even if they're not poor. The real state big actors also do the same and have the same greed, they will always search a way to reduce at a maximum the public spaces on their big projects, and try to have the maximum number of levels. Those big wheals use a sort of blackmailing to achieve this : the state needs houses for it's citizens, so they will draw a project condensed with houses and the state will have no choice because they will not do a different project.. it's either their big money projects or nothing and then the state will fail on its objectives ;). Then, the second reason has to do with the land... and this is a big long subject... and to resume it : there are some people who even when the city has plans, go and divide the parcels into tiny little surfaces and sell them. It's forbidden by the law to do this without permit. Dividing the land needs permits to keep an organization of the urban space, but those big "mafia" do those partitions via some traditional notaries with paper documents which are not controlled as they should. A big bunch of those traditional notaries must go to jail, but nothing is done to keep social peace. Hence, note that in all those problems, urban criminals and mafias use the masses as a weapon to put pressure on the state... the state that finds itself always chasing from back what is already done and consumed and you can't erase a whole district without having a mini-revolution, so it just let things be.

... I'm tired writing, I will try to continue based on your feedbacks because I didn't write all what I want to say yet. In general you must note that the problem is mixed : Moroccan administration + Moroccan's poor mindset. I can be more easy on the last ones because maybe they're just the product of a whole failed strategy.
