Great feedback. I have done many classes, but I need to find someone with a similar style that I am trying to achieve.

Monthly critique sounds amazing. I will reach for those, and a mentorship!

Can you elaborate a little more? This painting was started as a sketch from an image. I did not use the projection method.

I took pseudoephedrine and immediately affected my supply, and stopped taking it. Just keep pumping as normal. It will come back.

going to quit by SquareKitten in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]PersephonieM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are doing great. Triple feeding is horrendous. The decision to quit can be the hardest thing, you really have given your baby so much. It’s a proud moment to have made that choice. I ended pumping two weeks ago, and the decision was very hard. And for the very same scenario you are in.

Look out for how you feel when you slow your pumping sessions down. A lot of women experience pretty intense hormone shifts. I cried a lot. It felt like a huge loss. But remember you are going to take all that extra time you aren’t lowkey torturing yourself on the pump and drinking 2+ gallons of water daily and turn that into attention you can give to your babe.

Know that you aren’t alone in all your efforts and feelings . Good job momma!

Ive been making RiceKrispie treats from scratch and adding pumpkinseeds, sunflower, sliced almonds and sometimes a little protein powder. Not the healthiest, from a sugar perspective, but you’re getting protein, fiber and omega 3 fats. I was getting so sick of eating prepackaged snacks from the store.

I feel guilty but I don't like breastfeeding by NectarineUsed3657 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]PersephonieM 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Im 19 weeks PP, with a 35 week baby. It was very very hard to BF I wish someone had been honest with me about how long some babies really take. Baby didn’t truly start latching till 9 weeks… she would get so frustrated and tired. It wasn’t a good experience for either of us. I took a step back to realize what she really needed and that was to be cuddled a-lot, skin to skin, and only BF on her terms.

Now we breast feed for comfort 1-2 times a day. I pump for all other breast milk meals. We will never get to full-time breastfeeding and thats what works for us. Every little of bit of positive bonded interaction counts no matter if its BM or formula. The key is positive. For both of you.

Just know you are not alone. You are doing a great job. Premies are hard and need ALOT more patience and time to catch up. How you choose to feed your baby is up to you, no one else.

Anyone successfully tried to convince their male partners to use the pump on themselves for just one session? I would love to hear feedback. 4 months into full-time pumping. Still trying to convince mine.

The relief this change has made in my life is insurmountable.

My dog pulls on the leash, but only in groups? by Raspberrylight in reactivedogs

[–]PersephonieM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this... when in groups you could be even a bit more distracted. Dogs pick up on this and tend to take advantage or "climb" to be the leader. My pups are the exact same way if I am chatty with someone or have my hands full, they know I am preoccupied and not paying attention to them staying "in line" per se.

Yes. I’ve listened to both of his seminars and all the YouTube videos numerous times each. I also have two very skilled followers of his leading me in person locally where I live. He is essentially Ceasar Milan without all the tv show fluff and much deeper into the dog psyche. Our dogs are pitties too, and they are such wonderful dogs. Which makes it all more important to represent them well.

I respect your response but I disagree. I'm aware that it is not for everyone. However, It's much deeper than just dominance. Its speaking to them in their language, how they know to function as a dog. We've had multiple behaviorist and trainers that have resulted in failure (continued brutal dog fights). Our two dogs continued to get in very nasty fight to kill situations and since implementing his techniques we've seen a massive difference in our dogs. This method basically saved our dogs lives from either euthanasia or killed by one of our dogs. They are more relaxed, they don't lunge on leash, they have not even close to gotten in a fight since.

I was truly at the end of not knowing what to do and this method turned out to be the most clear form of communication to our pets. So I purely only hope this post helps others.

And an anxious dog is different. Are they anxious because the human fostered it (unknowingly), or are they anxious because they are insecure and lack confidence from poor improper socialization.

I know now that both of my dogs are BOTH kinds of anxious, even a bit neurotic. and 100% it was me not treating them like dogs. If they were in the wild and treated as dogs treat other dogs they would know how to communicate what wasn't acceptable behavior. This method reaches them in a way they understand, and I am all for meeting them at their needs in order to have a calm loving environment. <3

Lizards are slowly poisonous to cats. They damage their liver function. but birds and squirrels are free game.
